Trump said it all. According to him, in the end it will be Putin making mad money in gas as he alone has indirectly created demand and also controls the supply across Europe. |

ClassicMan202: Its you who is a dumbasss for not understanding the differences in Nigeria's economic pillars and that of the USA... if advance european and Asian markets can be reeling do you expect their customer's like Nigeria who rely on their raw materials and finished goods to be smiling? I keep saying it that the average APC critic is very very ignorant. 3 Likes |

tamdun: Sorry ooo,i don't talk much, what i will just to you is this,go check the the reason why Trump wanted to pull out. short reminder: America when protecting the citizens or helping the government of a country spends more than the country them selfs. Also a quick reminder: America's contribution into nato is 65% of the 100%. |

Boyooosa: No, it does not give our leaders morale, and it should not. The simple reason why diesel prices are rising worldwide is because the price of the raw material from whence diesel is refined...crude oil...is rising. If the price of crude oil was not rising, diesel prices would not be that high. We have the same issue in Nigeria...rising crude oil prices....which has caused diesel, kerosene, etc to rise...except for petrol, which remains relatively low because government pays a subsidy to keep it low...but the cost of the subsidy is rising with the rise in crude oil prices. 1 Like |

praisecliff: Actually, Putin did not invade Ukraine while Trump was in power because Trump was talking about 1.Leaving NATO 2.Allowing Europe to finance its own defence more. That meant that any country planning to join NATO had to reassess , and suspend such plans...because no one knew what would happen next. Including Ukraine. If Trump had taken the USA out of NATO, it could have basically led to the end of NATO. Russia was not feeling threatened at this point. Once Biden came into power, he promptly reversed all of Trump's leaving NATO talk, which in turn made Ukraine immediately plan to sign up to join NATO, which in turn threatened Russia's security...hence the invasion. The problem is, an easy way to invade Russia is through Ukraine. Ukraine joining NATO...future threat to Russia. 6 Likes |

ClassicMan202: No, the reason why the price rise in diesel is happening is because the cost of crude oil is rising...and once crude oil prices rise, so too does the price of whatever is refined from it...including diesel. APC boys can masturbate on this, but it still does not change the fact that Nigeria is not a manufacturing economy like the US, and thus weaker |

The diesel price in the USA went up 68% but in Nigeria 400% this govt is useless,in USA formally about 3$ and 6% but in Nigeria 200 to almost 800 too bad |

Well, we're not disturbed anyways by what's happening around us, according to Matthew 24 it's a pointer to the end of this sinful world.. Repent now, belief and accept the gospel of Christ.. Today is the day of salvation, tomorrow may be too late.. God bless and good morning. |
Re: Sky-High Diesel Prices Squeeze Truckers, Farmers, Consumers In The US by Nobody: 8:46am On Jul 26, 2022 |
Gbogbowa: 1.We are paying off the debts we took on when the price of crude oil was too low to sustain us (we took a lot of loans from 2014-21 because of falling oil prices) 2.We are paying to subsidize fuel...so that you and i don't buy it at N400 and above like all our neighbours do...including the ones with refineries like Ghana...and thanks to the rise in fuel prices, the cost of subsides has risen from N1-2 trillion per annum to over 5 trillion per annum. (This is not a defence of the government. APC is still a failure for 1) not diversifying the economy 2) not encouraging investment in power and petroleum by removing subsides 3) not widening the tax base 4) not fighting corruption adequately) 2 Likes |

They should tell sleepy Joe to remove sanctions against Russia and scale back on NATO expansionism and everything will be fine. Russia will withdraw from Ukraine and everyone goes home happy simple. |

Mrmanability: Well, the USA is the world's largest producer of crude oil. They import less than 5% of their needs. The problem is, as the price of crude rises, so too does the cost of producing the diesel, and other refined products like fuel and kerosene.. Something similar is happening with global bread prices. Wheat prices are rising...and with that so does bread prices. |

GeneralPula:Trump wanted withdrawing america from nato which was one of russia's security goals. Trump and Putin are leaders who prioritise their their citizens over other countries. Biden and his European counterparts are prioritising idealogies (democracy, human right, free market capitalism etc) over concrete issues. Respect for a fellow superpower's regional interest is a policy that trump would have pursued and thats no ass licking. Russia's central have cut her interest rate, rouble is stronger and stable, meaning sanctions are not working. The only way for europe and america to survive inflation is to lift sanctions on russia. Russia has more food and oil than even africa at large can consume and have better relationship with arab oil producers than the west. BRICS to the world. 1 Like |

Ishitinyourlife: I'm surprised they can't meet demand. They have lots of refineries. I guess it's cos they use fuel for most things more than us. Some of us still cook with coal here. Countries like India and China are still buying from Russia at very cheap price. They shouldn't have this problem. |
