Blame the Lagos State government who has turned LASTMA to revenue generation agency in the state. LASTMA are now microfinance bank working with target. What a State!. Please don't let us continue puting blame on those guys, Lagos State government should re- think and discharge their duties to the citizen.
So you as it is now, Lagos state have a governor grin grin, tinubu hand bag. grin.. that sanwo olu is the worst thing that has ever happened to lagos state. How a better performing governor like ambode was removed for a stooge is what still amazes me.

There are better ways to solve a problem. But here in Nigeria, the avarage citizen does not have sense.
God save us.

What has been the swiftness of police to actual crimes that has cost thousands of live in Nigeria?
When cases involving certain people are given premium service then we are justified to think whatever we want

The problem i have with some of you is you don't know when to shut up, Enforcing the law doesnot negate "Discretion" in some situations you just have to use it, there actions facilitated the man death that is there crime
Even if you think you can never be a victim of lasma, it could be any of your family members tomorrow.

The LASTMA guys even went to hospital with them, meaning they acknowledged the "medical emergency"

I don't understand this case o. So, because the Fulani man's son, Mustapha, who isn't a doctor said his father died as a result of taking their car away, the NPF now swing into action without waiting for a doctor? Kai!

The Laws are for man not otherwise.
Even in USA, some matters of urgency requires u break existing laws and no punishment afterwards.
A soldier once held a doctor at gunpoint to treat a wounded civilian.
So, if there is fire outbreak, bomb blast or terrorist attack , you will still have to wait for green light because of Tinubu touts in uniform.

Human life matter than any law. If Yoruba people are too daft to question the activities of their oppressors, the Fulani will cos they are valiant people

Guy take it or leave it... those LASTMA guys 98% of the time are doing their job! its traffic violators who cry foul.

I have seen it repeatedly how when caught they first try aggression, when that doesn't work, they try abeg/religion, when that doesnt work it is now negotiation cos they know they will pay more at the LASTMA offices as funds are going straight to Govt accounts.

If negotiation is successful they pay and go with their car then start claiming " they were extorted"

if LASTMA and all law enforcement officers can shun bribes trust me lagos road go free, no more traffic cos the average lagos motorist behave like an ANIMAL

You read with a biased mind.

Didn't you read where the man explained he was battling severe health challenges and his daughter?

You didn't read where those officers delayed them and started asking for 50,000 bribe before they're freed?

You didn't read where after confirming the man truly had health challenges at the hospital, they intentional drove away his car without the man's consent?

In case of an emergency, protocols can be broken.

You read with a biased mind. Or maybe you didn't read to understand but to argue.

What is the essence of taken the man to hospital when the real motive will compound the victim health issue ... did they expect a man suffering from heart failure to bounce back to life upon hearing his car as being finally impounded,
I find it preposterous how you guyz are trying so hard to downsize the situation with tribe sentiments, they were doing there lawful job with the wrong person at the wrong time ... in some situations discretion must count

After paying the sum of money they demanded for into unknown account, some will be remitted to Lagos account which is been controlled by Mr billion vans (Tinubu) and which is used to pursue his ambition in order to control Nigeria account just as Lagos State account is being run as a private account, same way area boys will disturb transporters to pay different money to same people eg Owo night, Owo morning, Owo load , Owo standing, etc. God forbid bat-thing !!!

In the North ke? The only law they Enforce in the North is Sharia Law. Traffic laws are non existent in the North outside Abuja. I am negotiating to buy car from someone in the North. When he showed me his documents, I saw that all documents had expired since 2016. I asked him how he thinks I could drive such a vehicle to Lagos. Mind you this is a vehicle he uses everyday.

Most times even with all my documents intact, I am afraid of driving on the streets of Lagos due to Road Safety, LASMA, VIO harassment and extortions.

Look, whether fulani or not, Lastma is useless and completely unprofessional. Staff of the organization don't see their job as public duty, they regard it as personal establishment. They arrest not because they trying to maintain sanity, they arrest because of personal gains.

If somebody jumps light and you flagged the vehicle down and you realize it's an emergency, what's wrong in letting the person go once you verified its an emergency?

It is not everything you must profit from.

Ambode is still best thing that happened to a common man in Lagos in recent times.

He forbade VIO and LASTMA from impounding vehicle.

He keyed them to their core responsibility- Traffic management.

Alas the good tree was cut down prematurely.

We are back to kala/ruju government ( government without sympathy )

The foot soldiers follow suit.
We can still get this bastards out of the government......let's vote enmassed against them....useless APC

Lastma have be warned to stop entering vehicles that break traffic law.

They don't have the right to arrest, their duty is to issue ticket to the offenders

Besides, the Lastma official was demanding for bribe
