He quoted 16mm,12mm,10mm,8mm,6mm. Nawao. I hope you have a structural design for this project, the sizes and numbers of reinforcement should be based on the structural design. The reinforcement quantity is inflated and I don't see the need for 8mm,6mm,10mm all at the same time. Get advise from a quantity surveyor biko.

Laterite of 40trips is Seems much, though depends on the height of the foundation you intend to build.

Labour and supervision charges looks okay but you can negotiate a little for it.

But for the rods, too many different sizes, except they plan on having some in the German floor.
The trip if granite is definitely 10 tons considering the price on that list. It might not even be enough.

Another thing, why is he charging separately for labor and then supervision? They should be together since he is the one handling all that.
He might come back to tell you that labor money is all spent and that you should add more.

A better approach is to draw a contract for building up to foundation level . Let him state his price and deal with the labor payment. All you want to see is that he delivers.

I just wonder why this happens. The mindset of our people.. you pay for workmanship, yet they make you pay more buy quoting excess materials & sometimes wasting them..

Personally I like to pay cash and have my job done standardly.

But buying materials yourself and paying only workmanship is meant to save you extra bucks BUT nigerian labourers will frustrate your aim.

They will ask you to buy 170bags cement,
BUT if you give them cash and monitor closely, they won't buy upto 100bags and will still deliver the job.

Hmm..

The main thing is both parties should be honest on their dealings. If a customer wants to buy his/her materials.. let it be and charge at a rate you wouldn't compromise on the quality of job to be delivered, nor make him spend unnecessarily.

The customer should also be considerate in the bargain.

The initial piping for the internal house has been completed before the plastering.
What's left is the plumbing fittings (Internal) and the piping to the waste chamber (External)..

Location of the Septic/Soakaway is not to us but I believe the 100mm pipe is good since the plumber is running a separate pipes for both soil and waste

Other water supply also can not be question because the your location and over tank will determine tye quantity to be used/installed .
