Lake Chad water is surface water, not ground water. Ground water is water below the aquifers.


Groundwater recharge or deep drainage or deep percolation is a hydrologic process, where water moves downward from surface water to groundwater. Recharge is the primary method through which water enters an aquifer.

Let's be clear, no one has any choice but to manage the current situation until the economy is reset. I always tell Nigerians - no one is coming to save you. Unless you adapt and pivot the global economy will sweep you away like rubbish. All we are asking from government is the framework; peace, security, exchange rate stability even if it is 1000:1 . We are not asking them to put food on our table. That is not the responsibility of any government.

But we didn't get here in one day, this is a result of wrong attitudes and policies since 1954. Go and read the book "From Third World to First: The Singapore Story: 1965-2000" and read what Lee Kuan Yew the founder of modern Singapore said about Nigeria - and this was in the first Republic then you will see that it is your culture, our attitudes towards money and power that continues to damage us.
