You’re just one of the lucky ones that the ECO didn’t request for more documents. Those with 11years, 8years, even 6years has been asked to show proof of study gap.

IHS is £470 per year, extra months added to ones visa is £235. For a 12months course, your IHS would be £705(470 + 235).
16months is £940(470+470).

The fee during visa application is shown in dollars.

5years since your last study is the average study gap considered, in your case you clearly had a study gap but the ECO had a choice not to request for it

The OP can either choose to exclude it and the ECO doesn't request like in your case

Or exclude it and get an NSF and waste more time

Or include it and get through the process

What we do is advice, the finally decision is whoever asks the question

Not really compulsory if you'd ask me. I have 14 years study gap, and didnt include any employment history, I wasnt also asked to explain why the gap. I just applied and was given. It also depends on luck and who reviewed your application.

Cost for masters IHS (12,16,18months will be different) and so will PhD (3years or 4years)

How many years of study gap?
When have you started your current Job?if the year you started your current Job is half of the study gap.....like 10yrs study gap and you started current job 5 0r min 4 yrs ago then you can provide the current employment/ref letter

If it covers 4-5years, yes you can. It doesn’t have to covered the entirety of your study gap.

The decision relies on the ECO(entry clearance officer) not the visa application center(Tls). Don’t be deceived.

You can’t opt for self service(self upload )after paying/choosing an appointment for assisted. Kindly take the hard copies of your documents on your appointment day.
