naijaboy99:Debt has long been a problem for many Americans, but the unprecedented problems of the past three years have spread the misery to tens of millions more. The COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath created enormous upheaval in our lives: our health, our jobs, our financial security, among other areas. More recently, soaring inflation, spiraling gas prices, even baby formula shortages, have piled woe upon crisis upon uncertainty. And it’s not just the actual lack of money that’s causing problems. A shortage of money led to a massive increase in denial, stress, anger, depression and anxiety. The emotional strain of dealing with debt can be almost damaging as getting your electricity cut off or having your car repossessed or seeing your credit score plunge to where you’ll struggle to get another loan. With housing alone, a 2021 report by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia estimated that about 2 million households owe roughly $15 billion in back rent. A study by the National Equity Atlas put that figure above $21 billion. Whatever the cost, whatever the cause, debt wreaks emotional havoc on our psyche. Among the negative effects are low self-esteem and impaired cognitive functioning. That means you can’t learn, remember, be attentive or solve problems as well when you’re under stress because you can’t pay your water bill. And get this – debt can hurt. I mean, really hurt. 1 Like |

More than 40% of U.S. adults say money is negatively impacting their mental health, according to Bankrate's April 2022 Money and Mental Health report. "I was in debt off and on all of my 20s and early 30s," Tawnya Schultz, founder of The Money Life Coach, told CNBC. "I was in this debt cycle of trying to get out of debt, paying off debt, getting back into it. And I was just tired of feeling like I could never get out of it or feeling like I was always going to have debt." |

There has been a lot of arguments in this thread about the positives of travelling abroad. I dont know about everyone's situation, but for my own situation, i used to make about 4.8m in Nigeria a year (not that bad), but i make about that in a month here before taxes. So i feel i am doing ok. It was not that way for me from the beginning. I worked in a warehouse, worked as a security for some years, then i took out a couple of years to get my Masters degree and things changed after that. 5 Likes |

Traveling abroad can be a life-changing experience that broadens your horizons, exposes you to new cultures, and allows you to create unforgettable memories. It can also be an opportunity to learn new languages, try different cuisines, and make new friends from around the world. If you don't know where to start, just apply to a travel agency. In order to choose a reliable one, check reviews first, for example, here are FlightNetwork reviews. If you have the time, resources, and willingness to explore new places and embrace new experiences, then traveling abroad can be a rewarding experience. |
