Goodmorning House,
Does it matter if it takes long before I do biometrics?
In my quest to travel once to Abuja from East to do both biometrics and medical, I am now in a dilemma.

I once applied for upfront medicals, got a date and paid but later pleaded with them to hold on for me so that I can get a date for biometrics and travel once, they agreed and asked me to inform them immediately I get a date for biometrics. I applied on the 12th and got a date for biometrics on 20th of January, I have been calling them since then, but it seem they nolonger want to grant me the request... I have tried to apply for the medicals online and the available date I am seeing is 1st of February. The gap is much, I cant stay in Abuja that long because of work and expenses.

The only option left for me is to reschedule the biometrics close to 1st of February, hence I am asking if it matters if I do biometrics like 3 week after applying for the study permit.

Please help with an urgent response.

You are given up to 30 days to do biometrics after submission. Check your biometrics collection letter to confirm

Positiveme2020:

Here is the story, I had two declines when I applied for visit visas November 2021 and Feb 2022. Then I decided to go through study. The timeline is:

27th April 2022 upfront medical Abuja ( I had additional medical request on July when my sputum test can out successfully)

3rd Nov,2021 Biometric at Abuja

3rd or 4th May, 2022 submitted First study permit.
Long wait no medical update .

4th August 2022, I received a declined letter.

Reason : Insufficient fund

I quickly rearrange my sop and transferred all my fund at stannic mutual to GTB and I paid my fully school fees tuition.

9th August 2022, sent in new application
Another long wait. So I had to defered my study to September 2023.

23rd December ,2022 , medical update to passed

15th January 2023 , final decision PPR.

This is just brief , I really had sleepless night during that medical because I was told my x-ray results has problem( according to them my lungs are not clear)
But to God be the glory everything went fine.

It’s been 41 days since I submitted my passport to IRCC. I don’t understand the reason for the delay. I’ve really lost a lot to this delay.

Hi.. Have you gotten your passports ? If yes when and what was the reason for delay?

Hello, Someone should please help answer this
Can I do a walk-in to collect my passport even if I used DHL to send my passport to VFS? If I can, what do I need to show them as evidence when I get there?

Does this message mean my stamped ppt is ready and I can now go get it.

Yes you can walk in but if you pay for a courier service when you submitted your passport then VFS will send UPS to drop it at your home address.Congratulation.

You can add the Statement of Account with good cash flow to the 3-month-old account, but bear in mind that the loan and any deposit in this recently opened account will be scrutinized. It's not the best situation because the VO could be thinking if the change of account has something to do with account inflation, especially if you have never had a balance of 6M in both accounts. Note that good cashflows without a substantial balance do not equate to financial buoyancy. So, a well-written SoP providing a detailed explanation of the transactions, salary and reason for the change of salary account will be vital.

TrumXray:
Hello,

Please my case is a bit complicated. I have my salary account with inflow and outflow of 18.9M and 18.3M respectively for the whole year 2022 with a balance of less than 1M due to some ongoing project. When I received my LOA, I needed to raise funds so< i obtained a loan of 2 million from a bank and was enforced to use their own account whereby, I won't be able to move the money to my salary account which I accepted. I converted this new account to my salary account with my 13th month and December salaries paid into this account ( both values roughly 2 million).

I have paid my full tuition for the 1 year and only needed about 5 million for my living expenses and Miscellaneous.
By ending of this month, I will be able to raise the remaining part of the money but by Feb which I plan to submit my application, the new account will only be 3 months by then. Can I use 3 months' SOA with the majority of my POF and add my previous salary account SOA already printed for a whole year showing 18.9M inflow and 18.3M outflow?

NOTE:
3 months SOA with 6M,
12 months SOA with a balance of 800k ( Inflow and outflow of 18.9M and 18.3M respectively).
I have 25% of my 14M RSA also available with a reference letter but my major concern is if I will be able to use 3 months SOA combined with SOA for a whole year with little balance

Pls my cousin's resumption was suppose to be Jan 13th, PPR came out Jan 09th and we are yet to receive the passport back from Abuja.

The school is saying he should defer the admission to September as he was unable to meet up with the resumption date in January. He has already booked his flight for month end.

Please have any1 been in this situation? Can he go to Canada if his passport comes back before end of the month as he has already booked his flight for month end?

Will he be allowed to be in canada till September?...

Please kindly advise.

He can write to the school for extension of deadline to be allowed to resume late (only do this when the visa is out and can be scanned an attached to the mail as evidence that it's ready).

Yes he can travel to Canada early even if his school is resuming September but at the point of entry he may be asked his reason for coming early and also proof he has sufficient funds to take care of himself as he came early
*Note that he is not allowed to work till he resumes*
