Leme share my car experience today.
I have been hearing a squeeking sound on the right side of my car since Wednesday last week. I had it checked immediately on Thursday (Not by my main mechanic though) guy loosed and inspected all four tyres and said it's break pad and break disc. But my pads and lining where still substantial. Although disc had thinned out. Anyway, I changed the break pads and break disc, and I was on my way. But then I started hearing a different kind of sound from the rear right tyre. Plus a slight drag like something is holding the car back from moving.
I just tot maybe it's the new pad and lining, that after a while it will stop. And the sound wasn't so bad, it can be neglected.
Then on Saturday I started noticing my back right tyre vibrates when I brake suddenly and my hand break isn't as it used to be, (I can't explain it but I know it feels different when I raise it). I knew something was wrong and my main mechanic had to take a look, my servicing comes up month end, so I said let me manage it till I visit my mechanic by next weekend.
I was heading to Chevron today when I heard a sudden "kpak" sound along Gerard road. I felt a little vibration on d break pedal, so I knew it had to do with the breaks, so I slowed down and tested d break as I was still on motion but it was fine. Got to the filling station at admiralty roundabout, I parked and check under d car for licking hydraulic but there was nothing. So I continued my journey.

Just as I got to chevyview junction, that back right tyre hooked and seized to roll. I had to forcefully drive off d road and park by the estate gate. Thank God rider has reached her estate already, her house is trekable from d gate so she no vex.

As God will have it two mechanics were working on a Camry inside Chevron car park, so I went to them and explained what happened, one of them came and loosed the tyre and discovered the kit inside the drum had scattered and d pieces eventually hooked the tyre. Thank God it was a quick and easy fix, a bigger miracle was that I wasn't on a major road when it happened.

Now, it's easy for someone to say "car that I just fixed on Thursday spoilt again all of a sudden on Monday" or "Cars are machines, it can spoil anytime without giving sign" but the truth is d car has been giving me phone call, it was speaking to me, but I was ignoring it. It's my fault for not attending to it swiftly, not the cars fault for breaking down abruptly.

Let's take proper care of our cars, know ur car, take notice of any change in it's usual operation, be observant, pay good attention and u will reduce the occurrence of unexpected breakdowns.

Had the exact experience, had to buy brake lining immediately at where it happened coz I don't like the idea of blocking the brake lining...

210km/hr....
Hmmmm abeg ooo...
He did it with Nissan primera I think, how much more this Benz?

I once used Nissan Tilda to do 180k/h on TMB in the morning, even one of the passengers had to express his shock and like told me it's risky after coming down at oworo.

So if the vehicle is in other my brother you can finish the speed without knowing sef, na our roads and bad vehicles that make us think such things are impossible.

185km; hmmm, I guess you were the only one onboard (without a passenger). Cos I doubt passenger no go complain if one hits up to that.

∆∆ Na Rida drivers worse pass. Request will show 4500 e-hailing price. Passenger will put 3500. You will see drivers bidding 2800, 2900. I'll be like, so these ones don't buy fuel @ 185 or they don't queue for almost a day? The hustle don cast. Terrible prices on all Apps....or maybe it's not the season yet

Most times, it's a matter of self worth and esteem, afterall, some drivers still hassle for 800-900 naira trips,
Also, some drivers don't see themselves beyond this hustle. For them, it is Eldorado..

Probably your speed sensor is bad. But have an expert take a look to really know what the problem is.
