I got my France visa early February with the plan of traveling to mexico. Glad to say I just arrived Cancun Mexico no questions asked just how long I plan to stay and Gbam welcome to mexico.
I am grateful to all those that have contributed to this platform. You made the visa process easy.

God bless you all and see you soon. Holiday mode activated.

It is not true, you can use any airline but your point of entry is France. Airfrance is the best for your trip..You can board from France to Nertherland on your arrival in France...if you make use of KLM you will need to reach Nertherland first but you will not be able to enter Nertherland ,you will board a connective flight to France then you can board back to Nertherland from France

Hello everyone.

I got my first France visa for short stay yesterday. Final destination is the Netherlands. Our travel agent is saying that we can only use airfrance to travel sincr the visa was issued by French embassy. How true is this?

Please I need answer as I need to purchase flight tickek before the price climb higher. Thanks.

Hi,
We ( myself and my daughter) were refused visa yesterday and I would like to appeal.

Reasons for refusal:

1) the information submitted regarding the justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay not reliable.

2) there are reasonable doubts as to the reliability, the authencity of the supporting documents submitted or veracity of their contents.

3) there are reasonable doubts as to your intention to leave the territory of the member states before the visa expires.

My Questions:

-Do I have to send email per case or one email for myself and my daughter?

-How long does it take the embassy to reply please? Thank you.

Infiosa:

I was denied my first French visa application so as did one of my colleagues. I wrote them directly and was granted. I encouraged my colleague to do the same thing, in fact, his case was very unusual as he got a call from the embassy to come with his passport and his family. he got his visa approved and stamped right at the embassy in Ikoyi. As stated in my previous post that a very convincing email is required with genuine intentions.

It is better you reapply and include all necessary documnets ....schengen dont usually treat appeal for short stay even study visa.Kindly reapply

Hello friends , I’m trying to put up an application for Italian Visa, and will need help in identifying which category I fall into(first timer or frequent traveler) based on what I saw on the TLS website.

I am going to Italy for the first time.

I have a previously issued shengen visa(France) and one visa from OECD country (Turkey ).

Tourism - First Time Traveller
You wish to go to Italy for the first time or you have 1 previous visa issued by a Schengen country and/or UK, USA and other OECD countries during the last four years and you wish to go to Italy for Tourism and will stay no longer than 90 days.

Tourism - Frequent Traveller
You have at least 2 visas issued by a Schengen country and/or UK, USA and other OECD countries during the last four years and you wish to go to Italy for tourism and will stay no longer than 90 days.

Please which of them applies to me based on my explanation above.

Hello France experts, I greet you all.
Please I need advise on my situation.

I started reading this thread before finally applying for my France Schengen visa today.

I started on the France-visas website and after completion and got to the stage of visa fee, it told me I was to pay €0 for the visa and linked me to VFSGLOBAL to book an appointment. I followed the process and finally booked a VFS biometric appointment for April 13, 2023 and paid approximately N21,000 online ( since I will be going to UK on March 24 and return in April 8 but want to travel to France on July 6.)

I just wanted to know it the €0 charge is normal. Am I going to pay again at VFS Lagos? What should I expect? Will I be billed for the visa later? When going for the biometric, should printed copies be in black and white or coloured. Please respond. Thank you in advance.

You will pay Visa fees on the day of biometrics at VFS office around #40k . I normally use coloured copies for mine .

Good evening

Pls can I submit an application for Switzerland at the VFS office in Lagos? Does anyone know the best way to go about this?

Thank you

Please everyone.

At what stage do you pay for a health insurance? I tried to purchase a 10-day health coverage but the company rep insisted that I needed to get my Visa first, and that's how they've done for others. I escalated the issue to the team lead and she just answered with, go get your visa first. So I am surprised as everyone here submits their health insurance with other documents for visa application

Check the VFS website to verify this. They will probably have a page that talks about Switzerland and all you need to know.

Health travel insurance is part of the required documents for submission. It would also be stated in your completed online form as part of requirements.

Hello guys, what's the best way to resolve funds debited by VFS for France Visa Appointment but the appointment didn't go through. This phone number (0815 018 8800) on their website is never reachable. Is it possible to visit their Lagos office because i've been sending emails since last week and its yet to be resolved.

As requested.

I had previous Schengen visa application rejected twice in 2016 not showing sufficient evidence of home ties.

Got Canada visa got in 2018.

Evidence submitted in this application is similar to those presented in earlier threads.

1. application form + photograph.
2. Passport + copy Previous visa page / passport.
3. Travel Itinerary showing my holiday plans in both countries for the 10days - hotel + tour activities ( tours listed but i didn't book) i planned to do (as alternative to booking a return ticket).
4. Employee letter confirming employment and approval of leave during the period.
5. 6 months bank statement and my account balance which i have been building up reflected I would be able to afford spending 120€ daily for the trip.
6. Travel insurance paid.
7. Hotel accommodation booked but not yet paid for.
8. Cover letter introducing myself and summarizing the documents submitted and travel plans.
9. Landed Property document
10. Marriage certificate.
11. Kids school report/fees paid.

Items 9 - 11 I added as supporting documents to demonstrate personal links to the country of residence which was the reason of refusal in previous application.

Apart from the visa fee, appointment fee the only other thing I had to pay prior was the travel insurance.
