For some reason, I feel once the elections have been conducted, the CBN might comply with the court order and make the old notes legal tender again. It appears the purpose of the Naira redesign was to make useless hoards of cash politicians had stashed home which they planned to use to swing the results in their favour. By Monday, the elections would be over and things may just revert to the status quo. |
