Are you raising children alone?

Sunday 19th March 2023

‘Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.’ Psalm 30:5 NLT

One marriage expert says a single mother sent him a story that helped explain the loneliness and stress often faced by those raising children alone. She said she was looking out of her window one drizzly day and saw a mother robin and her little ones perched in a nest. As the rain poured down, the mother bird covered her chirping chicks beneath her extended wings.

Then the hail began to fall. Instead of tucking her head safely in the nest, the mother robin raised her head upward and took the blows to protect her young. All of the chicks made it safely through the storm.

What a graphic illustration of the challenges of single parenting!

The responsibility of raising kids alone is unrelenting, requiring a mum or dad to earn a living, cook, clean, supervise homework, take care of sick kids, and so on. Beyond these day-by-day duties, they must figure out how to meet their own personal and spiritual needs. Taken in context, this may be one of the toughest assignments on earth.

Single parents, whether mothers or fathers, need our continued support and prayers. To those who are taking the blows on behalf of their children, be assured that better days are coming. The storm you’re in won’t last forever. A beautiful rainbow will soon appear. When the job has been completed, and a brood of healthy little birds has been raised, there will be sweet benefits for the parents who don’t fly away. God’s Word promises: ‘Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.’

Raising kids alone is not the ideal way. But now, the world's is in balablue state that kids raised by both parents are more wayward than those raised by single parent.
Foundational lessons for kids are lacking in marriages these days. Some parents sef no get good base so what ll they offer their kids. An example is parent that likes to dress with opened body parts, parents that expose their nudity to kids that are growing up etc.

When a man raises a child, he (child) learns fast, when a community raises a child, he learns faster...

Some people intentionally deny the other parent access to the kids and then turn around to cry of being a single parent.

Added;
For those asking, I'm not a divorcee, I'm widowed, I lost my wife 2yrs ago, leaving me with a girl and 2 boys and they are living with me, not leaving my kids with anyone.

Those asking for my account to support me, I really appreciate you all

It is better to be a sungle parent and raise your kids to be disciplined and responsible than to be with a partner that will be a bad influence on the kids.

Omo! It’s a daunting task. I am a single father of 3 wonderful kids. Their nanny sought for permission to travel but she didn’t return. I was left in the middle of nowhere. I sent an emergency email to ask for a day leave and started to look for a replacement. Then my youngest daughter caught an infection fell sick, then she passed it to the other dude… Then emails and calls from work cos I forgot to plan properly for cover. Then and then…. I was terrified… then I left the kids all by themselves and told the Older boy, 8years to take care of his siblings that I needed to go to work next day. Then I begged a total stranger to stay with them next day so I can go to work. Then and then…I found a new maid.

I see shege within 2 days.. shocked

To live a long life and peaceful one for that matter, you must learn never to allow circumstances beyond your control to determine your happiness.
Reality will always appear differently when you are on the one in charge.
Don't be in a hurry to criticize unnecessarily, coz criticism means nothing to our political class.
If you're not ready for a forceful coercion for change in leadership like in the endsars, just ponder everything you see as results in your heart.
The likes of Adams oshiomhole criticized Obasanjo, tinubu criticized Jonathan and FFK criticized APC led Government but where is he today, even the woMAN that calls himself Reno omokri has been busy seeking for political relevance by criticizing anyone through unfiltered utterances that should have never been heard from a man.
So my fellow ordinary Nigerians, it's about what you can do from your heart to save the country when given the chance to make an impact.
Charity, they say begins at home.
The problem of Nigeria is not at the helm of affairs alone, it is deep rooted from our various family unit, the values we appreciate and share, our understanding of reality and ability to accept truths without sentiment, reasoning without biases.
Right now every one is on a survival mode making the society a jungle which calls for survival of the fittest.
Please let's be calming down and make amend in every unit nature has entrusted in our care.
As a father
As a mother
As junior brother
As a senior brother
As a senior sister or junior sister
As an employer or an employee..........
How are you playing your family roles?
Do you rob other people of their MANDATES JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE UPPER HAND E.G SELLING FAMILY LAND AND DENYING YOUR SIBLINGS WHAT RIGHTFULLY BELONG TO THEM AND YOU COME HERE TO DISTURB US OVER TINUBU VS PETER OBI VS ATIKU SAGA.
Please let us ask ourselves questions......

Lol….
Pray you don’t have a problem that would require you run away from family people.

My little cousin that lived with me for over 5 years was sent packing after my kids gathered the balls to tell me she always maltreated them. Omo! The shiver that sent to my cheek no be here… we are fine & better now….

I raised myself alone since age 9 when I became an orphan. I did everything to survive and to get proper formal education.God helped me, but it hasn't been easy. Now I feel like committing suicide due to the intense hardship am facing.

Bros you are not alone, don't ever let that devilish thinking of suicide come to your mind again, if you can survive all this while that means you almost get to your target, winner don't quit... bro
