I just joined their webinar yesterday.-Did you later use them?
Listen to their webinar. Missed most of the first hour. At $12k - 15k, one needs to double check and be sure of legit and credibility. On face value, they seems legit though but one must be double sure.
Their 'approach' to NIW is WOW. I would not have thought of it this that way. Following their NIW approach, even for a DIY, one should sail through.

Has anyone used or know about Colombo & Hurd? They claim expertise in 'formulating' NIW (for EB-2B)

Dear GodProofPoint, you didn't specify which of the interviews you are referring to.

This thread is about the EB (Employment-Based) immigration process towards permanency ('Green Card').
You may try the USA threads.

im considering using an attorney- to maximize the paid consultation- could anyone pls share likely solid questions to ask the attorney to be sure that firm if the most suitable.
pls advice
Helpout12345:

You are right sis.

Another information to share with people going through attorneys is that mode of operations of the attorneys are usually different for this route.

Some attorneys help their clients draft recommendations letters while some don't.

Some attorneys require clients to write own cover letters to them to describe each of the criteria you want to claim among the 10.

Folks should consider this also before retaining an attorney.

Thanks a lot for sharing so generously - pls for someone who doesnt want to risk DIY- would you recommend a lawyer or this "myeb2niw.com/shop/"

NotsonewMary:

If you have the extra financial resources for a lawyer, then by all means go for it. The average charge I’ve heard of in recent times has ranged between $3k-4k for the lawyers fees alone!

Alternatively, this process is also something you can put together all by yourself if you do your research very well and you’re ready to put in the work.

Below is a link that could help you to get started;

https://myeb2niw.com/

There is a DIY package on that website that goes for only $150, and trust me when I say that package has ALL that you need to get started and MORE.
N.B. I have no business links or ties with the owner of the website. You can also download the free ebook from the website.

YouTube and the internet generally has many great videos and resources for sample petition letters, recommendation letters and how to properly fill the required form(s) for EB2NIW.

Good luck to you and your spouse!

If you require a U.S evaluation, create a new account using an alternate e-mail address. Once you have completed a new application, you will receive a new reference number. If you would like the documents from your initial account reviewed and transferred to your new account, send WES a new message.

Note: To send your request to transfer documents, login to your "My Account" and use the "Contact Us option" in your Account Menu. Also include both reference numbers in your message.

There is no need to resubmit your academic documents unless you would like to add new credentials.

I have been DQ since September 2022. Waiting for an interview at the Lagos Embassy...

Hello,

Please I am about to start my processing for the EB2 application and would like to have insights into the best approach. I learnt it is required to get an immigration law firm from the US. Is there a recommendation you can give based on your experience?

Regards,

Possible with self-petition on DIY route or through well tested immigration lawyers.
Whether through lawyers or DIY, critical is to understand the bolts and nuts.
NotsonewMary:
... ... I believe one field of USA legal immigration that is not very known to professionals and advanced degree holders in the Nigerian community is the EB-1 and EB-2 NIW route by which a person can self-petition for permanent residency (Greencard).
... ...
More information specific to EB-1 and EB-2 NIW self petition without a US employer are found in the additional links below.

I am researching about it in great details and gathering evidence to support my claims in my petition.

Can anyone share a sample petition letter for scholars?

We can exchange knowledge if you work in STEM.
So far, I've written four (4) reference letters (recommendation letters)
I'm working on my letter and expect to finish it by this time next week (31/03/2023).)

I will equally send to two of my friends to help double-check. (so as to implement their feeback)
Finally, I will submit everything to my personal lawyer to double-check before sending to USCIS in April.
Hopefully, I'll be in the United States by January 1, 2024.

Just to encourage you on the journey and say it is doable. I also want to say your set date to be in the US looks quite ambitious to me but I must commend your faith. All the best in the process.

Thanks @adedammy009, I appreciate you comment.
I believe January 1, 2024, is realistic because I will be filing from outside Nigeria.
I have attended about three webinars, and 7-8 applicants got their I-140 approved on average in 70–75 days (not expedited applications).
If the trend continues, I will get the visa in the next month (ember months) and move to the US on or before January 1, 2024.
For my B2 visa, I submitted my DS-160 form two days before my visa appointment (this is another reason to be optimistic about the planned date).

This testimony is very encouraging and strengthens the faith of those of us preparing for this but has any self petition gotten approval here.

Hiring an attorney is very expensive and most of us want to do self petition.

Anyone with sample petition for higher degree route should please kindly share.
