I heard from Rythmn news this evening, that the promotion has not been confirmed by the governor. That after confirmation is issuance of promotion letter before payment.... God should help us. Let the will of God be done.

I don't understand, even workers in the ministries whose promotion letters are now ready, haven't still been officially issued their letters despite the governor's directive that they should be issued their promotion letters.

Just 10 days to the May 29, 2023 inauguration, the outgoing governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and his political son, and current Governor-elect of the state, Sim Fubara have fallen out, News Direct has learned.



According to reports from Rivers State, the rift is as a result of disagreement between the duo on the Party’s (People’s Democratic Party) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

A source told AIF Media in Port Harcourt that Wike is fuming that Fubara invited Atiku and other PDP leaders considered to be his enemies to the May 29 inauguration at Portharcourt without his consent.

The source said that when confronted, Fubara told his close aides that he wouldn’t want to inherit the enemies of the outgoing governor and wouldn’t want to start fighting political wars early in his administration.


He opted for reconciliation with the party leaders both at the state and national, which didn’t go down well with the Port Harcourt hit man.


This has created a huge crack between the two and we were told that Wike is withholding release of funds for the inauguration.

The political battle between Wike and Fubara will be interesting.

Look for someone to stand in for you in the public school. Let your Principal know about it( tell your principal, you want to further and you'll not be available). Go for the Private school, teach for some time, raise money, go into biz and return to your Govt. School.

Just as stated by Iniobon, these good paying private teaching jobs or any other, one considers not giving up govt job for, is best done with a predetermined timeline, to raise sufficient capital for a business.

Countdown: 7 days to go! My prayer as we await the new administration to kick start in 7 days is that the new administration should be fair to civil servants in the state, especially teachers, it should never be like this current(outgoing) administration. Let the new administration be like that of Bayelsa State to the Rivers State civil servants.

As fter a year or two with enough savings you quit the private school and face business with your government job.
