Thanks sir
The charge controller shows above 13amps and 200watt at peak period and how do I configure my cc to give 14.7V?

It should not be less than 450 watts.

Something is seriously wrong.

Please take action before your batteries suffer irreversible harm

What is C rating please?

Any clue from the attached pic?

The charge current text on the battery is blur can you indicate what is written there as it seem maximum is 95A which is quite strange to me for a lead acid
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Jefferyzz(m): 10:11am On May 26, 2023
I think wat that means is 95a n above will damage d battery. Safe charging amps is 35-65a as written on the battery.

Well it also means 95A and below is fine. That said using the recommended 65A that is almost 0.3C. Seem high for a lead acid that wants to last long

hello house.. Few articles i have come across suggests that solar panels should face south for optimal energy production. I decided to check on my panel direction using a digital compass on my phone this is what i get.. Does it mean my panels are facing the north? I have been getting poor outputs from a 1.2kw setup.. Althought i was not the one who mounted it.

Today i went to aanother location where the roof position was pointing in a south east direction with panels on it.. i also want to know if this is a good direction also..

I will appreciate all comments from everyone... thanks

Finally installed my solar system, thanks to all the information in this group

I have a question, I have 3 panel rated 380W but my charge controller only read 340-400W the installer said it would have been higher if I used 200W panel, I am planning to add another 380W solar…. I just want to ask if the reading from the charge controller is normal

1. Wat kind of panels, can u snap d nameplate
2. Were dey connected in series or parallel.
3. Where are d panels facing
4. Y did u decide to go for Felicity battery, u could av gone with coupled cells if u read through their reviews on this thread.

the installer is talking pure horseshit!.....

1. maybe your battery was full/you didnt have much load
2. wrong time of the day.

to test the actual production - best on a sunny day btw 12 and 2pm....if your battery is full or near full...turn on your heavy loads at least upto 1.4kw....and observe again

1.Did snap the nameplate, the carton is VIP solar

2. I don’t know how it was connected

3. the installer said it should face where the sun rise set, it was placed on the top vertex of the roof so that nothing can cast shadow on it

4. Cost per KW

It was around 3-4pm yesterday that was when the installation was completed, the ba3 voltage was 27.1…. The installer said I should use mains to full charge before using on load

today is a very cloudy day but I was getting ~100W around 9am before I left home

Bros see enh, Solar installation knowledge no be rocket science. You need basic knowledge to avoid depending fully on your installer. Series and parallel are too too basic. No allow somebody open shop for your head each time. This thread is loaded with knowledge. Try Google series connection and you will be amazed at the simple results.

Why hasn't anyone made a comment about the inverter and battery combination or does that inverter have editable setting or charging profile suitable for lithium?

Answer this yourself, if the panels face where the sun rises from, what happens when the sun reaches the zenith, what happens when the sun crosses to the western side?

Stand with your left hand on the side where the sun rises from, then your right side where the sun sets, your back would be the northern direction while were you're facing is the southern part, this should give you an idea.

Sorry na typo o, it’s facing where the sun set, and it’s push up so that their is nothing that can cast shadow on the panels

I know series and parallel connections but the panels are on the roof I don’t have view of of connections between the panels

How come nobody is talking about Nigerian brands like Arone Energy and Technautic1?

Their prices looks affordable and tempting but I'm curious cos I've not really seen any verifiable user review on their product. Has anyone here tried their products? How reliable do you guys think thir their products are?

Hello house.
Please is it advisable to charge inverter battery with NEPA light, or I should just stick to solar source. I will appreciate your honest reply.
Thanks.

NEPA light is the best way to charge batteries. The charge current is even and consistently high. Batteries can enjoy the full phases of charges with NEPA. However, your NEPA credit will be going wella. While it is better to use NEPA, it is more expensive. But using NEPA will not damage your batteries.
