Yeah, true! Some are even higher than Β£4k actually, crazy stuff. In London, some Band H are below Β£2k sef. You can guess that Band A will be below Β£1k.
I'm band D in london and my CT is 2200

Not $6500, it's rinse and repeat....... Only legends would understand....... 😜

Elders and dependants especially male I need your advice please.

I'm a dependant who is also working in uk. I appreciate my wife cos she spent over 70% of the funds we used while coming to uk and also took care of home for 2 months before i got a job. I was lucky to get a good job in Manchester 2 months after I got to uk which is a midlevel role in my career path as a systems engineer. My wife has refused to do anything at home cos she claims she wants to rest and I should be grateful that she brought me here. This is leading to serious arguments cos after paying rent, bills and food I'm left with almost nothing infact I had to borrow in the last 2 months because I bought some home appliances in our newly rented apartment.
Right now, I'm so confused because it's more like I am just working to spend and her money belongs to her strictly and she means it. I am careful cos I'm bound to her visa and I am even begging her to take just bills but she refused. This has been on for over 7 months and i can not boast of 2k savings even with 49k salary.

How do I manage this? Just confused tbh cos she's also working full time even grossing more than i

Thought Manchester was a low cost city, wondering how it is difficult not to have savings on a 49K salary, some combined household salary is not even up to that. Not supporting your wife though. Spouses need to be supportive of each other. Just wondering how much your wife earns and if she still has loans she is repaying from the travel expenses or maybe paying for child care. Anyway you have to sit with your spouse and discuss a viable financial plan if truly you are struggling to save from your salary, one person cannot shoulder all bills and unable to save with all this wahala in this UK.
While at it continue to support your family please, I believe she will step in if thinks you are struggling. You can cut down on frivolities and spend within your means so you can save.

I agree with your wife. Trading is when you buy shares and stocks but that’s not what you are doing πŸ€ͺ you are practically gambling on price movements which is riskier than buying stocks/shares.
You are a legend! I salute πŸ‘

My friend who brought the wife in is on a student visa, while the lady is on a dependent visa. It's over 6 months now that she ran away from their house and blocked my friend from contacting her.
Is there any justice that can still be served assuming she has left the dependent visa for say a tier 2
Your friend has upper hand here he just need to report it to the home office asap. The wife uk don cast be that cos she can't marry another man in the uk or switch visa her only hope is if citizen knack her belle and she born here only then she change her status on her child citizenship

It sounds very tempting but I’ll pass before I end up gambling my daughter’s school fees away.

Please stop calling it gambling....... Buying $1000 stock vs Trading $1000 in forex and commodity.......

I would make a 60% return in 30 day's on forex, while stock would not return that in 7 year's......😁

More RISK ...... More REWARD......😜😁

Cos I always pay for everything I own with my sweat. I'm not on all those social media sites; I have other investments with potential returns that is better than dabbling into CFDs. You can be wiped out at any moment and rendered dormant doing what you do. I no get your liver lol

Bros sorry but i have to remove your posts advertising trading here, considering the risks involved we should not be encouraging such.

I know we are trying to drop useful info here that we help our struggle in this country but stuff like trading should come with truckload of warning.

Hi all, I have an upcoming PGCE presentation on an interview day. This is an interview for teacher training for one year. The subject is physics. Honestly I love physics. But my interest is also on the funding available for those willing to be trained as physics teacher. Now my major problem is my African intonation, infact Igbo intonation. I have been adjusting it with little improvement. This presentation will be done by me physically on that day. Has anyone any suggestions to give, thank you. I just finished my master and on a tier 2 dependent visa

I hope my comment meets it need.
As a teacher here, my advice to you is to focus on your presentation and interview. Those are the determinants to your getting the training not your accent. I have Naija accent and students have learnt to get used to it.
Depending on what part of the England you are , your accent will pass if you speak clearly and steadily, demonstrate your skills and make use of gestures.
Prepare as though it’s a job interview cos you will be asked questions like you are.
You could PM me if you need any tips. Best of luck!!

It's a self sponsored visa so you can go in and out as much as you want but the longer you stay out, the longer you would have to wait to get your ILR

Good day sirs/mas

Please I need your assistance.

I have UK Global talent visa and I have collected my BRP card which is still valid until 2026. But I have stayed 8months on a stretch outside the UK. Will I still be allowed to enter the UK?

I'm aware I cannot count the year towards ILR application in the future. I just want to know if I will be allowed to enter the UK and not denied at the port of entry

Kindly assist.

Thank you

Hey guys please has anyone flown turkish airline recently ? I understand with a nigerian passport a turkish transit visa is required? Please how much does it cost and is the process a frustrating one? Is it just way better to buy a slightly more expensive ticket (say +200-300 more)

No transit visa required if you only have 1 stop in Istanbul.

Not just ilr, excessive stay out of the country might impact your ability to extend. Best go to gov.uk website and do the research for residency requirements....
