They gave Dangote cheap forex to build his refinery but only secured a 20% stake in it. Too low. Should have gone for 50% instead of watching him make huge forex in the future and the govt now be at his mercy. 8 Likes |

He said, “NNPC Limited is bringing in products from outside Nigeria as a matter of necessity, not as a matter of choice. We would have preferred that we produce here, refine here and we sell and provide the energy security that the country needs. Our Leaders have really do us strong things in this Country by putting our refineries in comatose, it doesn't make any sense at all. As Dangote Refinery is coming onboard, it's a good steps and we are hopeful things begin to get better. Nigeria Government should license more refineries in other to create healthy competition in oil sector; in order to avoid monopoly. Nonsense , Tinubu should be kicked out if he does that, allow anybody to import so the price can crash! Dangote need real competitors Why do NNPCL want to be buying from Dangote and be selling to marketers? That is unnecessary bottleneck , if NNPCL want to continue selling, they should work hard and revamp those dying refineries, produce and sell, there is no Nigerian Cement Corporation in between cement users and dangote cement, why is NNPCL trying to be a redistributor on fuel 4 Likes |
