All of us who enjoy the hospitality of Lagosians should take a cue from Aliko Dangote. He has invested a total of $22 billion in Lagos, where he also employs hundreds of thousands. Yet, he has never claimed that he built Lagos or that it is No Man's Land, neither has he ever undermined or interfered with the Government of Lagos's right to make laws fly the good of their states. Some of the things some of us try in Lagos, we can't even try it in Kano, even in our dreams. In your home states, will your state government give scholarships to non-indigenous people? Yet, Lagos does. Lagos also heavily employs non-indigenes in her civil service. Perhaps we should not take the tolerance of Lagos people as a weakness. RENO 3 Likes |

Blaze14k: I have no time to shalaye, go n ask your seniors what happened, but let the message be clear .. Eyes are on the Igbos any funny move, they go collect wotowoto and let me remind you .. it takes Igbos bus from the East to travel through @least four yoruba state before they reach lagos roger that Peace is good and we must embrace peace, i don't just know why Igbos can just face there hustle & businesses, hausas are in Lagos, dangote refinery is worth more than total investment of igbos in Lagos but you don't see hausas threatening lagosians or opposing lagos authorities. why always IGBOs go to ghana, malaysia, south africa & co. why always IGBOS its time you people look inward 2 Likes |

Teenaira: See no Igboman claims Lagos as his heritage. Why do you think we travel to the east every yuletide season? It is because we go back to our roots. The issue is because of the presidential elections and the real gap with which LP won, forgetting that it was also Yorubas who voted LP. They are even making things worse for themselves by playing ethnic card because the term indigenes is clearly defined in the constitution so if they enact that law, Yorubas from Ogun and other SW states would be affected, as they are non indigenes. |
Re: No Man’s Land: Rhodes-vivour Condemns Proposed Law To Protect Lagos Indigenes by obyno82: 8:52am On Jun 09, 2023 |
Sheggy13: The law even discriminates against Yorubas from Ogun and other SW states, because if your ancestral home is not within the confines of Lagos then you are not an indigene of Lagos. |
