lilmonnie: It has gotten out of hand already, me I'll file a complain against Nigerian Custom Service cos there is somewhere I observed they are ripping us off with VAT. The VAT people are paying on custom duty is actually not what they should pay. The actual VAT is supposed to be about 30% of what is currently being paid. |

ojeysky: Custom knows Nigerians don't read, they don't inquire every details about everything, so they put it there and nobody has been able to detect it since. Over 95% of agents don't know how the calculation of custom duty works, all they know is print documents for me, make I go pay. |

kaysy: Sir, that's not exactly true. Maybe you are looking at it from 1 angle. Its becoming a must for agents to be proficient at duty calculations due to the frequency of tariffs restructuring over the last one year...but that is not the issue now. The issue is about TRUST. Please my advice to IMPORTERS is to do a proper background check ON agents, if possible go through a referral. Agents are not really making much from all the millions we quoting here. .
