mrvitalis: That shows you don’t read what’s up there. He specifically mentioned that commercial banks/microfinance banks will develop a viable and appropriate structure for all stakeholders for the billions. It means they will be the one to disburse the money to the farmers which is identical to what you opined. Now let’s see the other blame you’ll throw. 4 Likes 1 Share |

UnfairLife7: 15. To strengthen the manufacturing sector, increase its capacity to expand and create good paying jobs, we are going to spend N75 billion between July 2023 and March 2024. Our objective is to fund 75 enterprises with great potential to kick-start a sustainable economic growth, accelerate structural transformation and improve productivity. Each of the 75 manufacturing enterprises will be able to access N1 Billion credit at 9% per annum with maximum of 60 months repayment for long term loans and 12 months for working capital. 16. Our administration recognises the importance of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and the informal sector as drivers of growth. We are going to energise this very important sector with N125 billion. 17. Out of the sum, we will spend N50 billion on Conditional Grant to 1 million nano businesses between now and March 2024. Our target is to give N50,000 each to 1,300 nano business owners in each of the 774 local governments across the country. 18. Ultimately, this programme will further drive financial inclusion by onboarding beneficiaries into the formal banking system. In like manner, we will fund 100,000 MSMEs and start-ups with N75 billion. Under this scheme, each enterprise promoter will be able to get between N500,000 to N1million at 9% interest per annum and a repayment period of 36 months. Those are 4 to 5 different business opportunities. Start using your brain and stop wailing all over the place. Some will take advantage of it, and people like you will come back to claim that the govt made them prosperous many years from now. But when the opportunities were made available today, you are so blinded by the cacophony of politics that you failed to see them. Some are already thinking about how to get some of this money for real and viable businesses. Dey there dey wail and cry. Shiiiooorrrrr Lazy bums like you are expecting him to say that he will give everyone 1 Million naira each abi? The money wey country no get. Olodo 1 Like 2 Shares |

Analysis of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's speech on the economy In his speech, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu outlined the economic reforms he has implemented since taking office. These reforms include the removal of fuel subsidies, the unification of the naira's multiple exchange rates, and the introduction of a new Infrastructure Support Fund for the States. The President justified these reforms by arguing that they were necessary to address the long-term economic imbalances that had plagued Nigeria. He also promised that the savings from these reforms would be used to benefit the people of Nigeria, such as by providing loans to higher education students and making education more affordable. The President's speech was well-received by many Nigerians, who were tired of the corruption and inefficiency that had characterized the country's economy for so long. However, some critics argued that the reforms would lead to higher prices for goods and services, which would disproportionately impact the poor. Overall, the President's speech was a clear and concise explanation of his economic agenda. He outlined the challenges that Nigeria faces and the reforms that he believes are necessary to address them. While some critics may disagree with his approach, there is no doubt that the President is committed to improving the economy for the benefit of all Nigerians. Here are some of the key points from the speech: 1. The fuel subsidy was a major drain on the economy and only benefited a small group of people. 2. The multiple exchange rate system was unfair and made it difficult for businesses to operate. 3. The new Infrastructure Support Fund for the States will help to improve infrastructure and create jobs. 4. The savings from the reforms will be used to benefit the people of Nigeria, such as by providing loans to higher education students and making education more affordable. Here are some of the challenges that Nigeria faces: 1. Corruption 2. Inefficiency 3. High unemployment 4. Poverty 5. Infrastructure deficit Here are some of the reforms that the President believes are necessary: ▪️Economic diversification ▪️Infrastructure investment ▪️Business environment reform ▪️Corruption fighting ▪️Social inclusion I believe that the President's economic reforms are a step in the right direction. However, it is important to note that these reforms will take time to have a positive impact on the economy. In the short term, there may be some pain as prices for goods and services increase. However, I believe that the long-term benefits of these reforms will outweigh the short-term costs. Inspite of all what I read, there was no tangible procedures to address the fuel hikes... There was nothing about the electric generation, no plans to revamp the refinary, nothing about security issues, more like we should accept Nigeria the way it is while I give palliative to the vulnerable to be managing until I leave office... All Baba was projecting was give give and give, knowing fully well these can't finance any tangible business in Nigeria. A government of "enye ndi ebae, enye ndi ibè. mana ife n'egbe ka negbe" Then I realized, there was no plan from the onset, it was just his turn... 2 Likes |

4. This group had amassed so much wealth and power that they became a serious threat to the fairness of our economy and the integrity of our democratic governance. To be blunt, Nigeria could never become the society it was intended to be as long as such small, powerful yet unelected groups hold enormous influence over our political economy and the institutions that govern it. - Who are these group of people? - Why are there no punishment for these group of people 2 Likes 1 Share |
