The Coupist are just using Russia as a cover , they can't differentiate between giving a contract to Wagner and dealing with the Russian Federation .... Meanwhile since Mother Russia has respected us, we should open a channel of mediation through Russia. If they refuse to listen to Russia then we are at liberty to strike.

Nigeria has a lot to gain from attacking Niger coup miscreants. Coup in five countries within three years shows that they influence militaries from other countries to remove their leaders. If care is not taken, it will happen in Nigeria two. The coup is like a movement to overthrow all west African leaders and beyond.
Thanks for this. This is the reality many Nigerians failed to understand.
Based on zone theory in international politics. If BAT didn't take the drastic steps to stop the junta in Niger. In few months/years time. Military rule may capture the whole west African Countries.
May God direct his path in Jesus name.
Amen.

International politics is all about INTEREST, it goes beyond display of strength, emotions and morals.

Majority of African countries have strong ties with Russia. Once African Union and ECOWAS oppose the coups and decide to take serious steps, Russia has no option than to back off BECAUSE Russia has a lot more to gain from cooperation with African Union and ECOWAS than those military juntas in the four countries
So, u expect Russia to openly say they would support military wise? hahaahaha, some of u here are so funny.
What is happening in Niger is similar to what is happening in Sudan. It is west vs Russia and CHina once again. Both west and Russia may not provide military men on ground, both both would play role in sending weapons, funds and intelligence. This is how the super powers fight one another while the chosen country's home ground suffers. grin

Like I stated earlier, Nigeria can not fight a war with Niger, we are brothers but can we chase out the coupists? Yes we can. Russia will rather have Nigeria as an ally than Niger which is dry land and the poorest of the poor nations on earth by HDI.

Do you know from under the dry land there is uranium?... and Niger is the 7th largest producer of uranium? ... with the French controlling more than 75% of the mines? ... but yet the citizens are the poorest of the poor? Do you know this is the reason for the coup? And why the coup is popular? What if Buhari was overthrown and Ecowas planned to invade Nigeria and put him back in power.... what will you say?

Yes. This better be true. It is that guy that wanted to overthrow Russia that was making mouth he will enter. And he can't do it. Russia cannot allow the military to take over their nation too.

Nigeria will crush Niger, Mali, Chad, Burkina Faso, etc.

Bola Tinubu should go. I support it 100%. This is a chance to kill Boko Haram finally. We will enter Chad and Niger and block those supplying them with weapons. This is the only chance Nigeria has to stop terrorism.

Bola Tinubu will surely go to this war.
See this a$$ clown.
If you support Tinubu, enter the front line na, idiot.
Russia will not officially enter to help Nigerien military, that's why they have PMCs (Wagner group).
On the issue of terrorism, France and america forces are the ones training terrorist in Niger and sending them to neighboring countries,it's one of the reasons the military in Niger took over power.
Read well before spewing nonsense.
Algeria sent 45,000 troops to support Niger, how our weak soldiers wan take handle that if the cannot handle common Boko Haram for our backyard here.

Ok calm down, examine this.
Nigerian army invades Niger
Nigerian army starts dying en-masse in Niger. This is widely expected because 80% of the people are pro-Military Junta.
While that is going on, they are getting killed by IPOB, Boko Haram. Fighting a war in 3 different theatres.
With Tinubu's unpopular regime, that will lead to a coup in Nigeria.

Leave those war drummers to continue their clamour for military intervention in Niger. As you stated, any senseless military invasion will result in the exact evil that this government is trying to ward off at home.

From the news it is apparent that the military overthrow in Niger is a popular one. This alone should dissuade external forces from any thought of incursion. The people seem pleased with their new government. Leave them alone! At best, economic sanctions can be piled up on them to frustrate the daily running of the country by the khaki boys.

Dying en mass when they are yet to start?

This has been part of Nigeria foreign policy for long. Nigeria had reverse military coup at least four times. Niger coup is not the first experience

It is better for the military to risk their lives rolling back coup than risking their lives carrying out coup

Military coup in Africa is like a chain reaction. Once it happened in one country successfully. it will keep happening in other countries. Five military coups in west Africa alone within 3 years shows Nigeria is not save. It is capable of influencing our soldiers to be unruly and eventually may decide to join the trend
No coup in Nigeria possible. Not while Lagbaja is army head n Musa christopher frm southern kaduna is chief of defence.Southern kaduna Army General is too greatful n loyal for that.

Russia will not directly enter if there is any military action but the Wagner group will definitely side the Niger coup plotters. Mind you Russia already played the coup act with Wagner for this kind of situation. Wagner acts on Russia interest and Russia denies it in a diplomatic outcome. Russia got all the cards as it is now .

Stop dodging the truth... What led to those military coups??!

Can the military just wake up and take over a nation being ruled properly and corruption-free??!

The way to prevent such coups is simply to push for anti-corruption and people-centered leadership in all countries which Nigeria is guilty of not doing.

No nation on earth with a people-centered and fast-developing democracy can ever be taken over by a coup... There will be absolutely no room or basis for the coup.

We spend so much time and effort trying to safeguard a system of government that keeps destroying lives and impoverishing citizens all because it benefits us personally, or just to maintain a semblance of foreign recognition... The truth should be said... Nigeria and the rest of Africa should purge themselves of corruption and bigotry... We need to make Democracy work by making the system free of corruption.

O pari. The coupists lule pii! They are now under the bus. ISIL is cancelling Mali and today killed a lot of Mali soldiers heading to Niger while Russia just told them diplomatically that they are not supporting the coupists. They have lost support of France, Nigeria, US and the nations that give them indirect access to the sea. Nigeria has switched off electricity, Ecowas has blocked their banking channels and no plane can fly over them from the South. Niger coupists are on OYO. Without firing one bullet, they just got humiliated.

You really don't know anything. In Vietnam war Russia was not involved, but they provided armaments and military advisers. The statement is a just yo deflect attention to what Russia is going to do. NATO will also say the same thing as well, but all are playing the game behind the scenes.

That was how someone keep arguing blindly with me in another thread. Who lose her major flour market because of barren landlock country like Niger.

It is high time we start educating people about the power Nigeria wield with her population and economic influence in the continent and accross the globe. No super power can shun or ignore Nigeria interest in Africa.

Nigeria should not waste our scarce resources in fighting war in Niger, we have many pressure issues that needed to be focus on. Robust economic section and sponsoring of another coup from within are more than enough to solve this problem. And by the end of this month, the junta won't have choice but to hand over to interim government or be booted out by another sponsored military coup that will immediately reinstall civilian rule.
Going to war is the dumbest decision ever for Nigeria.
They can do anything but going to war is out of it.
