The REAL REASON Nigeria Wants To Topple Niger Military! by Napata77: 6:13am On Aug 12, 2023 |
NIGERIA is building a 13 billion dollar gas pipeline to Europe that passes through Niger and Algeria. When completed, it could triple Nigeria's annual income.. Putin is against the project because it will reduce European dependence on Russian gas. The coupists are backed by the Kremlin, so will sabotage/stall the pipeline project if allowed in power. That's why NIGERIA is pushing to invade Niger. . . . Niger Coup Threatens Nigeria-Morocco 30bcm Gas Pipeline Project Intellinews.com A $13bn project to build a gas pipeline connecting giant gas fields in Nigeria to Europe is threatened by the recent coup d'état in Niger. The long discussed 5,600-kilometre pipeline could fuel 11 countries along the African coast on its way to Morocco and then be connected to the energy system of Spain or Italy was given fresh impetus after Russian gas supplies to the EU were cut off last year. At a meeting held in the Nigerian capital of Abuja last June, energy ministers from Algeria, Nigeria and Niger agreed to accelerate the work on the mooted Trans-Saharan gas pipeline (TSGP), which could carry 30bn cubic metres per year of gas exports from the three countries to Europe. The idea of the trans-Saharan pipeline was first proposed in the 1970s, but revived in 2002, when the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Algerian national oil and gas company Sonatrach signed the Memorandum of Understanding for preparations of the project. A feasibility study was completed in September 2006, and it found the pipeline to be technically and economically feasible and reliable, however, little progress on the project has been made since then until a new MoU was signed in 2022 revived hopes for a fresh start. With a length of 4,128 km, the pipeline would link Warri in Nigeria to the major Hassi R'Mel gas hub in Algeria, passing through Niger and initial agreements with the old regime were already reached. However, the new authorities that took over last week do not share their predecessors' enthusiasm for relations with Europe. The coup in Niger has become a tussle for influence between East and West rivals in Africa. The ousted President Mohamed Bazoum was pro-Europe and close to France, which was a major supplier of commodities to France, including uranium. However, the new leader General Abdourahmane Tchiani, the former head of the presidential guard, is aligned with Russia and has already cut exports of commodities to France. The EU is already heavily involved in the dispute and trying to maintain its commercial ties with Niger, while Russia has also been very active in promoting its relations with African leaders offering them free grain and discounted funding for nuclear power stations amongst other things. https://intellinews.com/niger-coup-threatens-nigeria-morocco-30bcm-gas-pipeline-project-286426/?source=nigeria 3 Likes |

Re: The REAL REASON Nigeria Wants To Topple Niger Military! by Napata77: 6:21am On Aug 12, 2023 |
a4cube: Omo you get sense at all? Did you even read the article and see the image posted? There is a combined Nigeria/Morocco pipeline deal that is set to end in Spain. The same pipeline from Nigeria will divert in north Africa leftwards towards Morocco and Spain, and another line rightwards towards the rest of Europe. But the line from Nigeria must pass through Niger. You can see why Vladimir Putin is very jittery about this line. And if a Kremlin-backed military regime is in power in Niamey, Nigeria can kiss goodbye to the project. The first thing they will do is sabotage the whole thing. And we've already paid billions of dollars for it! 5 Likes |

Napata77:The image you posted is different from WAPCo gas pipeline to Morocco. Your picture represents Trans Sahara pipeline to Algeria. They are two different projects. Trans Sahara have been stalled for many years because of France Algeria rusty relationships. Better do your research well before coming with insult as a typical Nigerian. 3 Likes |

Only the foolish allows his head to be used to break coconut..... I only pity the south south where major oil installations lies. 50 drones sent from Niamey set on trajectory towards that area will create a force Majeure in the oil sector. That small community slot you dey manage go hold on first. No say we no advise una. Since war dey hungry Black Zelensky, he should recruit from his ronu clan. Wagner PLC, much of BRICS nations will support Niger through Russia urging. Do not be a paw for western chess game. These swobs are never ok until they are soaked in blood. The same way the Brits sabotaged Soviet built Steel Plant in Ajaokuta till date. Tell me why Karma is called a bitch? Russia has since planned for this war, and has plans to stop it and will do anything to stop it. That is why they started supporting coups in other Franco Phone countries before Niger. Russia through its foreign Ministry has issued a warning and mobilization private citizens for Wagner is ongoing for full confrontation with Nigeria & ECOWAS forces. Russian soldiers wont be here but Wagner PLC taking orders from Kremlin. Iran will gladly supply Shahed drones that is terrorizing Kiev as we speak. This will be their payback for the 2000+ Shites massacred by Nigerian Army led by Buratai, and subsequent humiliation of Sheik Zakazaky. Make una get sense small before they use una test new weapons systems.. Ukraine has the best air defense NATO can boast off, but with drones, your oil & gas installations will go up in flames within one week. Oil Companies will declare Force Majeure, by agreement they are immune. You that depends on salary will be the hardest hit..... That small community slot you dey take hold body for Escravos or Eket go stop first. mo say we no bring una update. If Asiwaju wants to fight, he should use his ronu brothers and hope Lagos bears the flights of drones... Napata77: 3 Likes |

Napata77:how’s tinubu different from General Tchiani, what has democracy offered Nigerians and nigeriens alike What are the peoples response to the military coup in Niger and the democratic coup in Nigeria Once you answer these questions honestly, then you can advise france and buhari to mind their business and focus on the problems at home first Tinvbu should see that poverty is gone in Nigeria first, what’s happening in Niger is not more important and of great concern to tinvbu compared to what’s happening in Nigeria |

One thing about these governments, be it US, French, Nigerian, UK, Rwandan etc is that they will NEVER tell the world the real reason they are going to war in any given situation. It sounds very savage to declare that ''we are going to invade and bomb Niger and kill people to protect a gas pipeline that we are building to make us money.'' No government can make such an announcement, without inviting the opprobrium of the entire world on its head. So they will find a 'civilized' explanation for the invasion, such as to ''restore constitutional order'' etc. They all play this game. 1 Like |

RoxyBrownAutos:Finally, sensible comment. Even if Nigeria succeeded in getting rid of the Junta, the remnants of the war looking for vengeance; rebels, junta sympathizers & Russian backed saboteurs will render the project useless by sabotaging/blowing up the pipeline. We can't even secure few kilometers of pipelines within Nigeria talkless of thousands of kilometres of intercontinental network of pipelines, that's if they are not blown up in Nigeria first by bokoharam, bandits or ipob 2 Likes |

Napata77: Look for it a better reason. This pipeline will never be finished I'm the next 10 years. So Russia (or Putin) has nothing to be worried about. US on the other hand is who I suspect. They just built a $100m drone base in Niger Republic. They sabotaged the whole of Europe by destroying the 2 Nord Stream pipeline, thereby making cutting Germany and Europe from cheap Russia gas, having them buy their LNG at X3, x5 of the price and facilitating the deindustrialization of Europe. Not everything is about Putin. Then there is a real reasons. Nigerien, the people really have good reasons for asking France to leave their country. They are protesting (you can all it paid protesting if you like) daily. They have gathered at the French embassy and their Military bases. These people are tired. They deserve good life too. Let's not pretend their grievances are not real. In Nigeria too, aren't you tired? Everything is crumbling. No electricity. CBN hugely in debt. forex 900, fuel 620, politicians are stealing, etc. And yet, we want to distract ourselves with Niger Republic? Those people are fighting to come out of poverty. If they do it right, in less than 5 years, they can make meaningful progress while we are still in the floor. 1 Like |

Europe and USA must understand that their Era of sole dominance in the world is over. Russia and China have come to stay, and nobody can stop the competition Africa is not the property of Europe and the USA. When the Europeans needed help they came to Africa, now Africans must also travel to Europe and the US for help naa one- one. Although I grew up in Europe and the USA, I don't think I owe them any worship. 2 Likes |

Napata77:Guy, go get a life. If Niger says the pipeline isn't passing through their country, then they wouldn't allow it. Putin isn't your problem in life. He has more things to worry about than a pipeline that will never come into place in the next 10 years |
