Government of the people by the people & for the people. The masses are happy in Gabon.

Those who seize internet connectivity in the middle of a national election in Gabon are the real devils. Anti people civilian coup plotters. They shld all be arrested

Similar template was executed in Nigeria's presidential elections.

Civilian or military coup, coup na coup sad

If Tinubu and all these our demonically corrupt politicians think they can continue to take the masses for a ride, they will see what will befall them. .

Those of you foaming in the mouth and calling for coup do not learn history.

Decree will take over and the constitution will be suspended. So tell me what rights do you have,?

Looting will be on a scale you have never witnessed. Nigeria will be set years back. A case study of Abacha is still fresh in our mind.

I doubt if any of you ever experienced military regime. African can evolve their own brands of democracy but definitely military regime is a no no. The military contributed immensely to the problem we are facing today.

The worst of democracy is better than the best of Military regime.

Many are tired of the so called democracy.

The old, cruel, and covetous politicians are to blame.

"Democracy does not make sense if elections are rigged. If the manner in which elections are conducted continue to be corrupt, then, that type of democracy is not acceptable."

Nice one. You can't impose your lanky self against the WI of the people.

PEPT better take some lessons here. African have finally woken up to realise the West are using the corrupt criminals like Ebola Ahmed Thiéfnubu and his likes to steal our commenwealth and use it to develop their countries while bringing in little as Aids. Rubbish.

ALL EYES ON THE JUDICIARY.
Make noise when the judiciary delivers judgement, then you face the consequences

Let it happen!
What is remaining again.
Like you don’t how much people are suffering in Nigeria.
The suffering is unbearable.
How can a civil servant that receives 140k a month, buy fuel worth 85k in his/her car monthly to drive to work place?
What’s remaining?

Bigshots001:

Military takeover in Nigeria.. with the current structure of criminality, corruption and tribalism.
It might flourish in other African countries, but not in Nigeria. It will still be a fire to frypan situation, and both civilian and military governments has a way of legitimizing corruption + the issues of ethnic and tribal politics in Nigeria,it will be worse...🥺

I agree with you . However you need to understand that Africans have really suffered in the hands of their Democratic leaders . Do you know the level of injustice in this country ? It is horrible . People will welcome any form of change and hope it will get better .

I’m sure you will agree with me that if the government is performing slightly above average the likelihood of a coup is reduced . Our leaders have lost touch with the pains and sufferings of people . The fear of a coup is what can make them sit up .

Jonathan was quickly sworn in after the death of Yardua because there was a threat of military coup when they refused to swear him in and kept nigeria without a president for months
the government will perform when you the citizens are ready, stop deceiving yourself, military guys are far worse, more currupt than civilians.

Always, always.

The citizens rejoice whenever the 'boys' in khaki strike.

It's just a matter of time before you know that they are not 'messiahs' , infact they are actually worse.

Nigeria is a living example.

- When Buhari/Idiagbon took over from Shagari in 1983, there was celebration nation wide.

- After 18 months Babangida took over from Buhari - we hesistated, and rejoiced cautiuosly

- After 3 -4 years everbody was fed up, and Babangida started his endless transition programmes

- Then the crisis that followed the annulment of the June -12, 1993 presidential election ( adjudged to be the 'freest and fairest' election in Nigeria history)

- The Abacha came

- Then Abdusalam Abubakar

- and Finally Obasanjo in 1999

1984 - 1999 - and that was how Nigeria economy was damaged beyond repair.

NO NO NO to Military rule. They have no idea of governance !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sincerely with the level of suffering in Nigeria a coup will be celebrated as most people are looking out for miraculous escape from poverty. However no miracle can stop poverty but a national and patriotic effort from everyone no matter who the ruler is.

your democratic government is about to spend at least #825bn(over $1bn) on one runway, spent #130bn on a 127km expressway and you are talking about looting on a scale we have never witnessed. Dozens of youths died at lekki toll gate for demanding a better government, so where are the rights you are talking about?Abacha did much better than all your democratic governments combined. If a democratic government makes a decision, isn't it synonymous to a decree? Military, democratic, theocratic, monarchial, are all systems of government. What matters is the intent/purpose of whoever is in charge.

The first true attribute of democracy is the ability to accept when you have lost an election.

While it is true that many of the coups going on in Africa are a result of the bad policies of the government, there is a difference between disaffection with a government with bad policies and disaffection because you lost an election. They are not the same. Only those who have never lived in a military regime will pray for military intervention. All this nonsense you people are posting on social media, you can’t try it in a military regime. You will be picked up and never seen again. Do you think DSS dont have the IP address of the device and ISP you are posting from? Did you not register with your ISP orSIM card with a name and/or NIN? It’s because you are in a civilian regime you can say what you want, true or false and get away with it.

People lost elections when you were in pseudo power in 1999, 2003, 2007, 2011 periods when rigging was blatant and at it’s peak. They didn’t bring the country down and bully everybody. Why whenever you don’t get what you want, you always want to burn the house down, like you did in 1966-1970?

Those who cannot accept the results of a democratic election are themselves the ones undeserving of democracy.
I am very sure you are still a boy in in his 20s.

I lived unde three different military juntas in Nigeria here- Ibb, Abacha, Abdusalami. I even lived under Buhari but I can't relate how his regime was because I was a kid.

Now let me educate you, the kind of human right violations that has happened and still happening under civilian governments are worse than military. The police and Sars brutality is worse and such never happened under military government.

Tell me what changed in since civilians took over? All the standing infrastructures you see today were built by the military juntas- Gowon Estate, Jakande Estate, Festac, abesan estate etc, refinery, third mainland bridge etc , were built by the military government. I no many roads in Lagos that are still standing today that the elders told us were built by Yakubu Gowon. Please , tell us what the civilian governments built-nothing.

I witnessed ibb must go protest that forced ibb out of power, he stepped down , yet no one person was shot or brutalized. Ordinary endears, the death toll is still counting.

Civilian governments are worse

Meanwhile, I've a feeling gun runners from the West and even Russia are fuelling the crisis in Africa.
At this rate, the region might end up being at war with itself.

Coup plotters win support when democracy fails the people. It is the responsibility of the people in power now to ensure that they uphold the tenets of democracy to avoid shît like this.

Onus of moving forward as a country rests on both leaders and the citizens. The leaders should do their job and the people will follow.

Military regimes see politicians as their number1 enemy
Politicians see the people as their number 1 enemy
It is obvious that the people will jubilate when the military take over.

There will be wild jubilation in a certain West African country if the military takes over tomorrow grin
