Was Ojukwu A Warrior And A Hero? by AntiMarxist: 12:38am On Sep 10, 2023 |
1. Never led or commanded any troops in battle. 2. Had his own officers killed over fears they were too popular among the troops. Nzeagwu and Tom Bigger (Ojukwu's step brother ) were setup by Ojukwu after he sent them to Nnsuka sector and then tipped Nigerian forces of their movement so as to have both men killed. 3. A bitch ass coward who was paranoid and thought real soldiers in his rogue army were set to overthrow him and so had them shot as traitors aka "Sabos". The Ibo got saboteur into their lexincon from the war from Ojukwu constantly accusing his own men and troops of trying to kill him. 4. Kept moving his HQ as far as possible from the advancing front. 5. Diverted scarce resources to build a luxurious underground bunker for himself so as to feel safe from bombing raids by Federal Air force bombers and his own imagination of his own men wanting him dead. The ongoing general starvation, famine and lack of weapons for his own troops were of no concern to him as long as he was safe in his bunker with enough whiskey and mgbekes to yansh. 6. Too chicken shit to either fight to the finish or surrender in person to Nigerian troops as they closed in on his bunker. 7. Jets out the minute he could conclude an asylum deal with Cote'dvoire. 8. Spends his time in exile philandering and getting drunk on his father's wealth and suitcase loads of cash from foolish Biafrans who had exchanged their hard earned money for his bread label currency. Seriously, why do Ibos consider this coward and scammer who stole their wealth and saw to millions dead and poor their hero and warrior? 2 Likes |

Man fought against the unity of Nigeria but later came back to contest for the presidency of the same nation he fought against. It's ironic. He had the interests of the Igbos at heart, I don't dispute but I also believe he was more of a glory hunter who was after his personal glory and ego. Why didn't decline external help? Man wanted to take all the glory. Millions of lives went down the drain for nothing while he lost no dear one and the purpose for the war wasn't achieved. The war was completely needless in my opinion. 2 Likes |

Kingosytex: It was needless in my opinion and it acheived nothing. The war set ndigbo back more than 50 years. It was an unwinnable war from the get go and young Ojukwu was consummed by unbridled emotions which he acted on. He branded people like Ifeajuna and Victor Banjo saboteurs who were trying to advice him and had them executed, all because they were trying to tell him the futility of the war and wanted Ojukwu to surrender and save lives. He had children conscripted and sent to the war front as child soldiers. The worst sin he committed in my book is to run away from the war he started at the end. Ojukwu should have been executed for his role in the Biafran war and we would had a closure and not have IPOB today disturbing Igboland. Ojukwu is no heroe by any stretch of the imaginations. Not at all. 3 Likes |

In yoruba land ooo, someone like Ojukwu can never be an hero. 1.you dragged us into war 2.You wasted 3million of us 3.Ran with your own family to ivory Coast. You can save yourself and your own family but not us. 4.you came back to contest for senator then later president and marry the most beautiful girls among us when the family of the 3million lost souls are still grieving 5.No legacy that we can point to as one of the contributors to our collective development as a tribe except agony. The way they choose their hero in that part of the world is surprising. From ojukwu,to Nnamdi kanu to Simon ekpa to Peter OBI...you can not point to one giant stride they have Benefited from them all. |

Basic123:Why not face your region. Simon Ekpa is not your brother, relation, cousin etc why talk about him Is he the cause of your suffering or did we Igbos told you to speak for us, are we complaining about Simon Ekpa why can't you concentrate by telling your lord and savior Tinubu to lead us well. |
