You thought wrong..... The show was based on a real historical character though naturally, some liberties were taken with his life account.

And Jesus Christ was born during the reign of Augustus Cesar.
When the emperor gave directive for the census of the entire Roman world

Joseph took Mary his wife to his hometown in Bethlehem to be counted in census where she gave birth to our Lord Jesus Christ 🙏

You can imagine how organized Rome was over 2000years ago to have conducted census then

What were Africans doing then?

Honestly I Love History!!

Africa was also running its politics then too.

Remember Africa was generally know as Ethiopia.

You guys will continue changing goalposts until you see yourself in the bush. You haven't understood why you are not so intelligent, so how can you understand or believe things written about Jesus? They will only remain myth to you. That's assuming you are sincere in your lack of understanding. Hallucination with false belief that you are a genius when you are not it's real.
The thing with average foolish black man is that he got pissed when the issue of the Bible is being contested even more than the white man who brought it to him and abandon it. Even Israel were the event is said to have took place, do not take as serious as you mf because they know the Bible is a small part of a their larger ancient culture but you lot who are afraid and full of self pity because you were told you are unworthy of love, yet Jesus love you. The human mind ever curious and it's that curiosity that gets us here, yall stay in mental chain because you are afraid of to raise question or read what will jolt your mind.

It was a great story line full with many lessons for the living.

Major take away: Trust no one even your best friend.
what you said is nothing but the truth,Julius Caeser has two best staunch friends in mark Anthony and Brutus, mark Anthony gave a rousing speech at caesers burial that spanked riots that brought down the liberators, unfortunately mark Anthony later fought against Octavian Caeser son in quest for power, the sad irony was that when Caesars will was read some months after he was burief he gave vast sums of money both decimus Brutus and Mark Anthony I the will,he thought they were his friends but later betrayed him.he trusted them too much and paid the supreme price

The simple moral lesson of this gory incident is the saying "absolute power corrupts absolutely" Hence always give rise to desperate intra-institutional power tussle. Brutu's being part of the conspiracy is justifying of the saying "a man's enemy is of those of his own household."

Brutus felt he was just being patriotic to Rome, if only he knew most of the conspirators were just envious.

Lol funny you, was it a question of whether he really existed or about the man and the myth.

To many, it is a question of whether Jesus truly existed!

exactly bro, he was the one through his oratory prowess roused the pleabians i.e the commoners to start the insurrection that eventually toppled the conspirators

Funny thing is, black man and Africa as a whole are minute compared to other Christians in other countries, when you research, you'd see that close to 90% Christians are from other continents, but somehow, you people always make it seem as if Africans are the only Christians in the world with your constant insults and degradation, non of you can openly insult Islam, such hypocrisy and disgusting behaviour, you will never see white people insult Christians or other religions for no reason, but you atheists or whatever you call yourselves will say all manner of nonsense about christianity to prove what exactly? Did anybody put a gun to your head that you must be a Christian?

Every country have a dominant religion, in India it's Buddhism, Russia it's Christianity, China it's Buddhist, U.K it's church of England, Italy it's Catholism, so it is not out of place for the Old testament/mosaic laws to be dominant in Isreal, just cos they don't accept Jesus doesn't mean we should follow them blindly, "a hero will not be accepted in his hometown", simple cause and effect, so cease your baseless gobbling and move on.

If the Roman mobs (as my dad's book called them) were "civilized" enough to revolt -- I wonder what's wrong with us?

Don't get me, I'm not taking sides. I'm just surprised mobs from over 2000 years ago could wreck such havoc without giving a damn about the soldiers. I guess the masses all loved Caesar.

Someone up there said Caesar died when Jesus was 4 years old.🤣🤣Another person is trying to sway history of more than 1or 2 millennium with personal bias. Maybe Caesar offended his grandad.

So because Nigerian females are not here means we are allergic to intelligence? One thread defines women? So all beautiful Nigerian females are not intelligent only the ugly ones? Na only ugly females get brain? Actually it was emperor Constantine after his conversion to Christianity
Turned Rome from pagan to Christianity
And founded the Catholic Church

The Catholic Church was already established 600 years before the coming of prophet Muhammad

The Catholic Church held sway for over 1500 years before the advent of Martin Luther, the creating of the church of England, then Methodist Church

Then the migration of pilgrims to the New world America when they were fleeing from persecution from the king's of Europe

The pilgrims founded America on foundation of Liberty, and freedom for every Man

The Americans fought war with the British and gained Independence
Setting up the powerful US Constitution built on Liberty

The Europeans then began to go around discovering other parts of the world aided by industrial revolution they built the steam engine that enabled ships travel thousands of miles to other continents especially championed by the Portuguese and the British

The Portuguese were the first to discover Africa while the British discovered Australia, New Zealand.

The Europeans started coming to Africa and the transatlantic slave trade started for over 150 years
Africans were sold into slavery to the New world, America, Caribbeans

Then the British abolished slave trade and started Trading on raw materials like palm oil etc

With time they formed trading posts in Africa example is the Royal Niger company that First came as traders but later colonised Africa by Force after Africa was shared amongst the Europeans in late 18th century

That's when Nigeria was formed and various African tribes were organized into Nations

This has been the bane of Africa as a continent
And the reality is that Africa may never Develop like other parts of the world
Because the Europeans that gave us form and being are the ones still in control of our world

We Africans are no match for them in Development and advancement

See the way I was smiling when reading your writeup, the way you summarized over 1500 years world history in a few words. I love to meet intelligent people like you, I still have hope for some Africans. Please, you can email me so that we link up in knowledge. Thanks.
