Do you know how many artifacts has been discovered buried underneath the land of Israel that has the hebrew inscriptions on it? Israel suffered persecution from the enemies around them, that's why they fled on exile and lived in different regions across Europe until the holocaust/pogrom was unleashed on them during the second world war.
