Please what do you mean by “they took people’s land”? Correct me if I’m wrong but I understand that area rightfully belonged to the Israelis from the time of Abraham (you could say time immemorial, but we know they took it from the canaanites), before all the crusades and conquests. wonder233: |

Exactly the problem: you're basing your claim on the land on your religious belief. What is "from the time of Abraham"? Is it everyone that subscribes to your religious chronological sequence of events? So if you want to resolve a land dispute, you won't aproach the issue from a neutral perspective? How did the indigenes of the land that Israel with the backing of the west took over get there in the first place? What is their own history? Did they drop from the sky? I know, like most Africans, you're too emotive with religion to learn more than your current view. I see you dropped the Mandela angle. I implore you, please read more, the history is all there. It won't make you less a Christian. GodHimself: |

Religious angle? Abraham is a historical figure. Even if he was not a historical figure, I asked you a clear question, and outlined my line of logic, which I admitted could be wrong. See your response, full of emotion. Go in peace. wonder233: |

wonder233:And what did ANC achieve with violence? I'm saying that Mandela wouldn't have been so popular if he didn't change strategy and used peaceful resolution. Seems you don't realize the amount of sympathy Palestinians just lost due to that senseless massacre. Which land are you talking about? Were you there during historical events and helped them mapped their land? Note: I don't hate any religion. My mum's side is Muslim. Peaceful resolution may take time but it's surely the most enduring. |

Let me school you: Mandela did not change strategy. In fact, he went to prison for 27 years than "change strategy". What did the violence achieve? It drew attention of the world to the plight of the oppressed blacks and that was how they were eventually able to get the oppressor to back down. Do you know how many people all over the world have gone to read up about this whole Israel palenstine issue since Saturday? It was exactly same during South Africa time, I'm over 40years old, I can still remember seeing in the news how the western media tried to brand ANC as terrorists. Meanwhile, they killed blacks for fun everyday, it doesn't make the news. If there is no armed conflict, there won't be a dialogue to resolve the root issues. The oppressor will just keep having his way. Isreal kills palenstines daily, but no sympathy because everyone hates their religion. Leave all this talk about your mother's side being muslim. Its the same way racist whites say they are not racists because they have black friends. No need to mask anything, own up to what you hate. Palenstine women and kids are killed daily, without provocation. The videos are there, but you don't see them as humans. SamAfrik: |

My dear I live in South Africa and I can tell u that South Africa independence was never achieved through violence but dialogue and even a lot of concessions where made by black South Africans which is still being upheld up until today....try to research on this pls. Hamas just took 1000 miles backward in their struggle and I doubt they can survive this and yet again Palestine will suffer a huge setback because a lot of international aide will be withdrawn making the citizens to suffer more. 1 Like |

wonder233:This epistle is needless. I know ANC and know how it metamorphosed. And what Mandela did when he was youth. I Lived in Bloemfontein where the party was formed. |

wonder233:If it really pains you take a gun and head to Gaza. Go luck with you/ Hamas and your violent way. You can't change my perspectives of life at this age. What blacks suffered for generations is greater than what Palestinians are facing, yet they were eventually liberated. Lastly, do not tag me a hateful person. I hate no one. Cheers 🥂 |

Ricci22:This is exactly my point. The world knows the true freedom fighters and they are still being celebrated. E.g. Ghandi, Luther King, Mandela, hamas are led by fools that only bring hardship on their people. |
