TATA already owns the franchise for John Deere tractors in Nigeria, I wonder why we have very lazy leaders. Will John Deere jeopardize her business relationship that spans many countries with TATA for Nigeria and it's wack system

No light to run your factory here and diesel is almost 1500 per liter. They'll definitely shut down as quickly as they opened.
Imagine this fool. Can't you appreciate good things for once.

They will generate their own power. A lot of companies have been doing this for decades in Nigeria without shouting.

Such company is not like a blacksmith shop on our village.
You think for them to express interest in setting up in Nigeria, they haven’t considered Nigeria’s electricity problems?

Come to think of it, there used to be more than one tractors manufacturing company in Nigeria on the early 70s and 80s around present Bauchi State and one other Northern states, if I remember correctly. I stand to be corrected.

Yet everyday we hear of companies closing down operations in the country?

If you are educated enough you should know that they can build a plant within the factory to generate their own electricity. Hate for the present government doesn't allow you people to reason well.

I can give you a long list of companies that have shut down operations in the recent past because of ballooning production costs, FX crunch, multiple taxation, policy flip-flops, and high energy costs.
Remember GSK, Evans pharmaceuticals, Proctor and gamble among others? It's good to be optimistic but not inordinately optimistic, we have to face the reality on ground.

Hate for which government? Try and see beyond your nose and stop being petty. We are all in this together except if you're typing from somewhere in Europe or the Americas. Are you buying goods in a separate market or is there a fueling station where you buy @N200/liter? I don't hate any government I'm just enjoying the rape so the rapist doesn't Injure me. Even if fuel turn 1k /liter today, I can afford it, no be mouth.

So address the point I made or the question I asked concerning that.
What you are saying is totally off point I don't care about what you can afford or not, that is non of my business, nobody asked you. At the end of the day if we check very well na online bragging!

Go and school a kid about that, you are not the one to school me about what is going on in Nigeria.
I raised a point about what they might do to take care of the power problem and asked you question concerning it. So address that and stop deviating.

Sorry to rain on this parade. John Deere will never establish an assembly plant in a country with no stable source of electricity. The only way they will ever even consider this will be if the Nigerian government makes them an offer they can't refuse. Guaranteeing profit level will be a start. Until the issue of electricity is resolved in that country any public trading company planning to establish a foothold in Nigeria will have to come up with a reason on how the project will contribute to the shares holder return

It’s tough doing business in Nigeria because of our lopsided policies or lack of policies implementation. Corruption is key too. Even among staff if companies.

Ask people in procurement, engineering, marketing, finance and sales departments of every company to know the level of corruption/evil they perpetrate. Those evils cripple and kill a lot of companies.

To run a factory assembling machines you can forget your backup battery charging schemes alright those don't hold enough juice to power an assembly plant. I have carried out implementations/worked in 5 auto assembly plants (Corvette in Bowling Green KY, BOC Lansing MI, Truck and Bus Shreveport LA, and Amtracmk MI ) so I know what I am talking about. You need an Alternating Current source to power the machines used in those plants.
