Why not punish Uzodinma directly?

Are they afraid of the supreme court governor?

Sure way to assert supremacy. If the Labour Union is to allow the assault to stand without repercussions, that will be the death of Nigeria's democracy, especially collective bargaining and opposition politics.

Who born a monkey to assault the NLC President and go scot-free? No arrest, no apology by the Governor and no comment from the presidency.
Dis is insult of d highest order. Assaulting a whole Labour Union President!!! Even late Abacha never did things that are happening right now

NLC president that we don't know if he goes behind our backs and gets his pocket stuffed from Tinubu's treasuries, because each time they threatened strike because of this petrol price issue, next thing we'll hear is they have called it off after negotiating with government. Forget, we know what that negotiation is all about

With LP candidate in the same Imo state.

LP brand of politics is all about the destruction of anything in Nigeria, this clown is supposed to be the leader of the Nigerian labor union, but he is a politician running errands for the Labor party and even destroying Nigeria in the process.

We've had labor union leaders for so many decades with zero issues, but it's a different story today with the labor union leader from the SE.

This is why it's impossible for Nigerians to trust them with power.

Sad.

Do you know it is the NLC that owns the labour party?

When the sledgehammer will hit them... They will be clamouring for help. They should have rethink. This is similar to what makes OBJ reduce the power of NLC to toothless 🐶 as then.

I really feel for Ndiimo right now but I had wished there was a way it'd affect only the governor and the police squad that touched a whole labor president.
Hope is an evil nemesis that befell Beautiful Imo ppl who just wants to enjoy their life.

Imo state is currently on lock down economically and otherwise... Owerri be looking like a ghost town these days.

Yet, the governor is gleefully preparing for a second term in office.

In a sane country, either of two things would happen:

1. The Governor would have since resigned.

2. The Party would have removed him from contesting, and temporarily revoked his membership.

Naija has a very long way to go abeg... Even the citizens are adjusting themselves to suffering rather than protesting all over the state.

NLC is biting more than they can chew grin grin they don't have the constitutional power to close the airspace undecided
The FG is patiently waiting for NLC to cross the line, Joe Ajero and NLC are going to lose big in this grin just like Israel waits patiently for Hamas so that they teach them a priceless lesson cool

The worst part is that people are even siding with the governor against the Labor President.

Imagine the stupidity of these so called learned youths of Nigeria.

There should even be widespread call for the impeachment of the governor.

Joe Ajaero took special interest in Imo State because it is his state. He wanted the labour issues in his home state to be resolved being the NLC president. The timing was to utilize the election to force Gov. Uzodimma's hand. He did nothing wrong to deserve the brutalization.

The fact is politicians want NLC to be emasculated but it is up to NLC members to bury their inhouse differences and fight to retain their relevance and power as the mouthpiece of Nigerian workers and common people.

However, NLC should do well also to distance itself from Labour Party. It is blurring things at the moment.

The last paragraph in bold is of utmost importance.

Is this the same labour union that was helpless while people were dropping dead in front of ATM's in February? The same one whose NUBIFE bank workers were being assaulted and threatened in response to cash scarcity and yet did nothing?

Do they have a new President? Or was the current President the very same President of the NLC then?

Remember that these same heavy handed tactics were used to destroy the APC in the Feb/March elections - how well did that go?

If not that NLC actually let themselves down by allowing Politicians and political parties to have influence on them, I don’t see any reasons why State Governor will allow such nonsense to happen in his state, when Oshiomole was NLC chairman during Obasanjo administration he shut down the country many times if FG refused to comply, dem nor born that person well to beat NLC chairman to pulp like that to me this is the right way to show the government that NLC is the mouthpiece of workers and common Nigerians, our interests must be respected regardless of who is in power

To those of you supporting any kind of nonsense this government are doing just know that as you are supporting you equally reducing your own value because we all suffer the consequences of bad governance regardless of your religion and political affiliations.

You are chasing shadows abeg.

Don't leave the truth to hunt for emotions...!

The Labor union has demands which are pertinent and urgent.

Is the governor right or wrong?!!

Sometimes, I marvel at the way many of you young people reason these days all because of politics.

You leave serious and pressing issues affecting lives to be poking political holes. SMH.
