The bolded is not only plumbing even massaging
Nail technician
Barbing
Electrician
Hair dressing (US you can do it at home but most people would feel you ain't good enough)

Not true.
Once they know you are good na you go dey turn them down.

My wife's friend lives in the US. She does her hair business at home, guess what, she does only Didi. Nothing more.
She runs time table system.
You must book in advance.
And she allocates 1 hr to each client.

She charges $50 per person.
She makes minimum of 6 everyday.
Imagine making $300 daily. If you like to convert to naira that's like 300k on a daily basis.

Most times she complains that she doesn't have time to rest.

See, if you are good at it, ómó Dem go find you come your house.

So sorry to badge into your room but I couldn't help but notice that you misspelled "welder" twice in your post!

1)wielder
2)wielder

ObongBassey:
Good. And also wielding because being developed societies, they probably would need wielders

Dirty jobs to you because you have been programmed to think everybody must be doing white collar jobs so you can look down on the rest like they dont matter.

The dignity of labor is well respected abroad and all animals are equal. You will see a beautiful girl will be proud to say her father is a plumber and that's her family business.
You will see a normal white babe or dude will say proudly that her family are into bakery.

And that's the business they do they use in living a quality life and sending their kids through college.

The kids even finish high school and start the family business.... they live a far better life than you..
You don't look down on labor in Western world

Keep deceiving urself. If u are a dog in America u are still a dog.

You guys can never think of learning better skills?

Behaving like refuse scavengers all over the world. I'm not talking down on the skills you wrote there but considering the fact that 90% of people that considers japa are the graduates, putting up these skills is annoying.

Graduate should think above these.
Even as a graduate, they can still learn the profession as second job. The job that employe people is Health and social. A lot of japas don't like putting pads on an elderly people. Their faeces smell like mad. They are doing it because they don't have options. That is the reasons why a lot of them are always upset when they are at work in a care homes.

Make up artist and tying of Gele

- Baking

- Mechanic

- Carpentry

- Tiling

- Plumbing

- Bricks Laying

- Painting.

These will Serve as side hustle for you.

From this list only baking and makeup artist can serve as side hustle. The rest are highly regulated abroad and you need a license to do it. It cannot serve as a side hustle. They are full time jobs that may require 1 or 2 years of being an apprentice.

The hustle is real. cool
Caveat emptor when it comes to side hustles in the UK.

What Exactly Are the New Data Access Rules?
Starting January 2024, HMRC is rolling out new regulations designed to crack down on tax evasion related to side hustles. These rules align the UK with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) guidelines, allowing HMRC to collect information about UK earners from digital platforms based abroad.

Before this, HMRC could only request such data on an ad-hoc basis, but the new framework ensures automatic sharing of this information.

The motivation behind these changes is twofold: to help individuals comply with their tax obligations and to catch those deliberately avoiding taxes. To facilitate this, HMRC will be sharing the collected information with tax authorities in other participating countries, expanding its investigative reach beyond domestic borders.

HMRC has committed significant resources to enforce these new rules, allocating £36.69 million and employing 24 full-time staff to oversee their implementation.

This initiative is part of HMRC's broader strategy to make it easier for people to pay the correct amount of tax and clamp down on tax evasion.

I know a lady who was a Tailor in Nigeria.

She was always posting her clothes and designs on Facebook.

She is in UK now.

I doubt the babe is even sewing over there.

Last time I saw her on Facebook, she posted a picture wearing UK Care Worker Uniform undecided

I have always wondered if learning sewing is a good skill to learn before traveling out with the aim of making side income.

Becos if u think about it, do Oyinbo people wear our African clothes?

Just dey play..... That's why many of them are rolling all over Europe as nuisance, hoping for a job that even their own country can't give them in 100yrs to come. U think the white give a damn if u are a graduate from Africa?

U are talking down on essential skills that will help people abroad and still claiming u are not talking down on it. Who told u that 90 percent of the people considering japa are graduates? Most of u think life start and end in Lagos.

The company I went to work the other day, the small Chinese boy they brought from China to install the machine they bought from their company in China was an Industrial engineering graduate. There was nothing the boy couldn't do. From Industrial mechanical work, vehicle mechanic work, fittings, Welding and fabrication and even heavy machinery operation(Forklift and Crane). The young Chinese boy was able to do all of them.
