Just have international passport, good money, then you are good to go. No much or special preparation needed. It's visa on arrival for 30days, for Nigerian passport holders, and you pay 30 dollar for the visa but now i learnt you dont pay for the visa or stamp any more but would pay 60 dollar for covid19 test at the airport.

You book before departing and also fill locator form, meanwhile you don't just book any hotel, there're selected hotels which you can book one of them depending on your budget. You will be there pending till your Covid 19 test result is out, then you're free to move out.

Paul Kagame is like Trump , ( Rwandese first !) Before any other person. Of course I met Nigerians and few indians working @ MTN Rwanda. But it's very difficult to get work over there, I was there to consult for MTN.

If you have money for investment, please go there, they welcome investors, infact you will be treated like king. There is little to no corruption, the citizens are very honest and it's a rapidly growing economy. So if you have money to invest. You can go there, but please don't go there looking for job, it's hard to get a job as an immigrant.

As for the women, you need the grace of God not to go into fornication if you are unmarried or adultery if you are married, the ladies are extremely beautiful, with amazing body shape, they are not so promiscuous like women in francophones countries, the women are also independent and hard-working.

Rwanda is a really organized country, with working institutions. It's a great place to live if you have money. Shikena
Nice one.
Talking about investment can you make a suggestion on what sort of business to venture into?
I can cought between 7 to 9 millions naira.

Thanks

You can rent a huge house for Airbnb and equipped it with free wifi and make both the interior and exterior of the house look top notch advertise it heavily on social media including Nairaland, include city tour and also include free airport pick up and drop off atleast for a start and watch how your business grow in no time with hard work and the Grace of God that is if you believe in Him.

You can ask more questions

I agree, a quick addup to what you posted above, the Rwanda Constitution has been amended and Kagame will be in power till 2034, and it is silently been echoed that either his daughter or son-in-law will take over from Kagame

Rwanda is owned by Kagame, Kagame is like a small god / idol in Rwanda, nobody, l repeat nobody dare utter any negative things against Kagame, German Ambassador was sent packing because RIB intercepted a correspondence were the Ambassador called Kagame a dictator and Kagame ordered him out of the country

A Nigerian called Mr Bello who was solely incharge of supplying catering services to all airlines entering Kigali was set up on spurious allegations, arrested and detained for 3years, he died and his corpse sent back to Nigeria (only the Nigerian Ambassador was allowed to see him in detention before he died, the Ambassador said this to me one on one at his office and I confirmed same from other consular officials, the horrors I heard going on in Rwanda scared me to my bone marrows)

Again, all the big businesses in Kigali is owned by Kagame via proxies, the Hutus are waiting in the flangs for a comeback to power, several opposition members / military personnel of Hutu extraction are in neighboring East African countries waiting for the slightest opportunity to comeback and overthrow the crook called Kagame

Rwanda is militarised, from 2 to 3 pm daily you see police men with AK 47 in almost every Junction all over the country, in the night, heavily armed military personnel are posted all over the country, citizens are docile because if you talk, Na straight to jail.

I am able to say all this because I am not in the country and l am anonymous, the small project (uncompleted vacation home) l have their is already in the market, l will sell it off and not step into that country again.

I see a LIBYA kind of revolution in the future, Kagame is just a joker, masquerading as a Democrat but he is a deadly killer, he is actually called the BUTCHER OF EAST AFRICA considering his antecedents and the number of people he has killed before / during the Genocide and now...

Lastly, all the information above concerning how they killed Mr Bello and other big investors from Nigeria whose investment were taken over by Kagame is not in the news and the few Nigerians in Rwanda are not even aware of the news but I got all the information from the embassy, Abeg Rwanda no be am, go to Rwanda and invest at your own risk grin

Not much has really changed since the last time I visited East Africa community >> Rwanda in particular.

I will rather suggest you go to Uganda. Uganda is Far better for you as a Nigerian as long as you are not into crime or criminal activities

You have more freedom, to set up your business without citizens or government agents spying on you to take over your business or even kill you than that banana Republic called Rwanda led by A Dangerous Despotic leader called kagame.

I have said so much about Rwanda, those who have ears to hear, should hear shocked

Please I'd like to ask you how can I get a work permit or resident permit.

I need it to open a bank account and the banks are requesting for it.

Kindly note, that I am self-employed.

What are the documentations needed, what fees for processing and how long will it be issued out?

Thanks

It depends on your taste but you can get a decent apartment between 150 to 200 dollars per month. location of the apartment says a lot about your monthly due too.

Transportation is very easy via Boda Boda(Okada) taxi or public big bus. It's moderately priced too.

Food is a bit expensive compare to ours but if you spend moderately you should be able to save some cash. But l will strongly advice to cook your food if you can instead of going to restaurants this saves a lot of cash at the end of the month.

Their women are kilimanjarolically beautiful if you know what l mean. Just make sure you abstain from distractions as much as you can. if you have cash, lots of cash, you will enjoy living in Kigali. l met some Americans when l visited, and they all said this is mini America. Generally it's a bit expensive compare to Nigeria but you will hardly observe this if you have a decent job or business.

Don't forget to visit their genocide memorial and take some pics and probably their volcanic town if you have some spare cash.

You can ask questions if you have any business plan in my mind to start in Kigali we will generally advice you based on experience. Don't over Stay your visa or make sure you extend it at least a week before expiration if you plan to stay longer you will surely enjoy your stay.

You can speak French to Older people like 33 yr, upwards they tend to understand and speak French better than English, the younger ones speak English mostly. And Kiyanwanda their local language is widely spoken because l traveled to some of their villages too.

But please l will specially advice anyone not to plan to stay in Kigali or Rwanda for greener pasture without proper planning and cash. You will hardly get a job here but business can work with cash.

You will not have any problem at their airport in Kigali I think they changed the name of their airport now. Their immigration officers are so friendly they will ask you your reservations, sometimes they call the hotel to confirm your reservations just make sure you book the hotel online you can pay online or at the hotel they will automatically have your information with them after the confirmation of your booking.

Kigali is rated as the most cleanest city in Africa. You can't find a single polythene bag on their major streets or roads because no one uses polythene bag there, their government banned it. If you know you have not fulfill your dealings there, just extend your visa its very easy and straightforward. please do not overstay or play to TECO. Abuja is very beautiful and bigger though but it is not as clean as Kigali. Just don't go there for hustling!!! it is meant for Tourism except you are going there to invest or to start a business.

Merci.

lf you are already in Kigali, go to RDB, RWANDA DEVELOPMENT BOARD, go and register any business of your choice for free, business registration takes minimum of 24 hours, after the business registration, they will give you government issued business registration certificate, take it with your Nigeria passport to any bank in Kigali and you will open account that same day, for residential permit, you must physically set up a visible business, immigration will visit the business to be sure it is real and genuine, after physically seeing your business, they will issue you 2 years Resident permit, but if you ask me, Rwanda is not a good place for you, l visited, and I have written extensively on this thread, about Rwanda, Goodluck with your adventure in Rwanda

Thinking I saw this post before moving to Kigali, menh i have never seen cunning people like Rwandese anywhere in the world, they will take over your business just because of jealousy, thank God I was out of the country before they almost frustrated me, my entire office things are still there, the things i saw in the country ehh. rule of law? scam...... and no one listens to foreigners even police. i don japa comot and never to go back there, but whoever must travel to Rwanda - enjoy a few days' holiday and leave, if its business forget it, except its a struggling one, if u mistakely grow. they will lie on top of your head and u will be deported or thrown in jail.
Which area of Rwanda or Kigali did u stay and what was the nature of ur business in Rwanda.
Re: Any Nigerian In Kigali, Rwanda? by Sheyimann: 8:11pm On Oct 06, 2023
Rule of law is not a scam in Rwanda , if you follow due process you’ll be fine , i agree that Rwanda is an heavily militarized country, but I have had two to three run ins with them their Police , In fact their force and RIB take foreigners issues very seriously because they care about the image of their country .

If you want a free , open , liberal country where you can do as you please try Uganda , Ugandans themselves will tell you they prefer Rwanda because things are better organized

I understand that there are some grey areas in the Rwandan governmental system , but as of now, every serious African country will work better with some tough hands at Thebes helms of affairs to put the necessary things in place , Rwanda has even started signing visa waivers with other country like Brazil with was agreed today Visa free deal with Brazil and are in the process of securing Belgium visa waiver as well.

It is not a perfect country , just like Singapore someone has to do the dirty job of putting a nation on the right track

I do not support the spying and other things , but even in countries like Qatar and the likes , you can get thrown out if you act anyhow and forgot that as a visitor in a country you must act in accordance’s with the country’s laws

Even US has state secrets and confidential information that must not disclosed anyhow and they also arrest people secretly for such but you and I won’t know anything .

As for business , taxes on businesses are higher for foreigners in Rwanda , I agree with that , but that a nobody will just come and take over your business , I don’t know of that, but taxes I agree with because I also run a business with a friend here and we always talk about it .

But talks of of Kagame is a dictator , only time will tell whether he would follow the honorable path of stepping down or appointing his family members , for now ,the deals and his leadership direction are very much on point , you don’t need to believe me, I’m not a Rwandan , but if Nigeria hasn’t a Kagame , everyone will sit tight and a lot of nonsense will stop in Nigeria and our image as a nation will get better .

So not all African leaders must follow the supposed saintly path of democracy.

I asked him a question but he has ran away. Rwanda isn't Nigeria where he can just do anyhow he likes, that's why Nigerians prefer Uganda and Kenya for Rwanda. In those two other countries u cud do any how and just bribe ur way out if u are caught, but dare that in Rwanda and u will be sorry. I had encountered their police when I was there and I deliberately acted very unruly just to see for myself how they would react and to my surprise, they acted in the way that can only be better compared, or even better than their counterparts in the western world. I wasn't into business when I was there but most Nigerians I met there that were in business never complain of any of those things that fellow said here. Rwanda, or Kigali is the type of city I would like to live in if I choose to settle in any other African country apart from Nigeria. I like a country that is well organized, in fact living in Rwanda is like living in a house or compound where the landlord and his family also resides, every tenant in that compound would be forced on their own to behave because of the presence of the landlord, unlike when u live in a compound where it is only the tenants and no landlord, everybody will behave as they pleases, no one to correct another. I love Kigali and how disciplined the people are and whoever that is not comfortable with that can go to where he or she will be allowed to break the laws of the land and do watever they pleases with impunity. Do any how in Rwanda and u will see anyhow, period.

We are quick to stick out accusative hands at somebody else but forget that here in Nigeria we have hundreds of Kagame running out country to the ground , Nigerian government is is draped in democracy but the workings of the government is like an authoritarian regime , just a facade to deceive Nigerians .

At least give Kagame the benefit of the doubt to see if he’ll go down as a power hugging leader who would mess up what he has built already because of clinging forever to power or if he’ll go the honorable path eventually .

The Singapore, China and the Dubai and UAE e.t.c created their own system and their own world without following the western blueprint , why must we forever linger on this democracy democracy with little or no end result , Africa needs tough hands , the Europeans and westerners had a couple of such leaders too in the past , I don’t mean Tinubu kind of leaders though
