Freemasonry: Even if she claim op is not the father, a simple Paternity test could be conducted if the op insist. Legally she has no right to deny him access to the daughter whether he was present in her life on not. The interest of the child would always come first before the court. |

GboyegaD:SenseIess oloriburuku With your mentality, you can never progress in life and that's why you remain stagnant. Most of you just open your gutter mouths to speak without thinking, same thing with writing and posting. How would you feel for your father if your mother told you he ask for you to be aborted and ran away for 7 years? Mumú 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: What Should I Do by lawrenzooo: 8:12pm On Jan 15 |
Do you have legal right to build a relationship with the child? Yes. Going to court might grant you that but you wouldn't have the mother's support and hence she did try to frustrate you for the many years you abandoned her and the child. If you've caused her pain for the past seven years, it would be foolish of you to expect her to heal in two weeks. I do truly hope you're back because you realize you have a daughter who needs a father in her life and you've come to fill that void, should that be the case give her six months and in that six months keep trying patiently to right the wrongs you have done and am sure she did come around if she sense you genuine. All the best |

ExudeLoveToAll: I am not sure if the young man will have any right over the daughter if the lady's father legally adopts the baby. Just ruminating aloud. |
Re: What Should I Do by chris51(f): 8:48pm On Jan 15 |
You are irresponsible. You said she should abort pregnancy, if she had done so, could you have been talking about "my daughter"? Do you know what she went through when you abandoned her? |

IamAsiri: This scenario most times in the Nigerian environment will never happen, you know that without even going into that legal angle. So status quo will be maintained. |
