No matter how cheap the house or apartment, never live too close to a petrol pipeline. It is a bomb waiting to explode. Relate it to your stocks portfolio. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Godisfaithful: This $ thing and high interest rate is raising some bears in the market. I pray for a speedy resolution to the current challenges of insecurity Nigeria is facing. That this N3,000 will not happen this decade if it will ever happen. I pray the N3,000 is averted by the Grace of God. The dislocation will be too much. |

BabsO2: N3,000 will come and nothing will happen. The same way we cross $1/N1,500+…Nigerians have a way of moving on and adjusting to poverty and bad economic policies… We can’t pray our way out of this mess. The reality is not matching. Do you know how many companies are about to leave Nigeria presently? Anyway make I keep quiet. When the news hit, you will remember…As Nigerians do say, it is well!!! |

Quick question guys, who sets the prices in the online platforms, sometimes it can be frustrating when you want to set a limit order at a certain price and you get the message "price is out of range". Is there a time when the prices are opened up and set daily, what determines the tradeable range? Sometimes, i feel that there's a racket in the process......

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by KarlTom: 1:51pm On Feb 07 |
Acceptable Price range is +10%/-10% of daily opening price. In this case, its 0.73 to 0.89... PuristForest: 2 Likes |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by BullBearMkt(m): 1:53pm On Feb 07 |
PuristForest:I think normally it is supposed to be +/-10% of opening price |

yMcy56:Meritrade is very okay, they can be a bit slow with responding to email communication but they do. Regarding the interfaces, both platforms have their strengths and weaknesses, the new Meritrade interface is very simple to use and more userfriendly for the most part, beginners will find this quite intuitive to get around. MorganCapital is more robust but less user friendly, you have to dig in and read the help material to find things as you go along, however, it has more advanced features including the ability to see live trades and a robust reporting functionality which enables you to see the summarized market data and all your portfolio and financials... for me thats what sets it apart from meritrade. Finally, Morgancapital is abit effective with email coms, they try to get back to you within a few hours. If i were to choose one, i 'd actually go meritrade! |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by PuristForest: 2:09pm On Feb 07 |
KarlTom:Thanks! Okay, so the price range is firm for the day and does not change until the next day when the range is determined again by the same calucation. Essentially, what's the reason, is it to prevent price movements above 10% on the daily? |

Maybe no one has notice Meyer trying to do 100% from #3+ it was last week. The bull will still circulate to all sectors just as it's quietly doing at the paint company now. The brewery stocks are seriously battered. I am much bullish on the brewery sector. Waiting for accumulations and breakout at due time |

Godisfaithful: Why stop at 3,000? When the currency reaches 3,000 to the dollar, what then - won't it just continue to 5,000, and after that, 10,000? Buying dollars is just a temporary solution that will hasten the day of reckoning. What happens when you can't leave your home because the streets have turned into gang-controlled zones where your dollars provide no safety? Kidnappings are already on the rise; soon nobody will be safe unless they can pay for escorts. Purchasing foreign currency offers fleeting respite but does not address the root causes of economic instability. Without meaningful reforms, the crisis will only worsen no matter how many dollars one accumulates. The focus must shift to long-term solutions before lawlessness and violence become insurmountable. 10 Likes |
