The link did not answer the most important question.
Did Nigerians buy the alleged $28 billion dollar from CBN or Banks and then took it to Binance?
Or did they buy crypto with Naira worth $28 billion dollar.
Or did the majority of the "missing" $28 billion originate from abroad or locally.

Since the news didn't specify, I suppose the detail is not in CBN's favor.

Binance is not a legit source of income. Any profit you make from crypto trading is tantamount to printing money as you didn't bring anything of value to the society. Govt cannot ban it though. Politicians earn money without doing anything of value so why can't the average citizen?

I blog on a platform where I get paid in cryptocurrency which I then trade on binance to get the naira equivalent, so that's not a legit source of income?

Sometimes the way we think and talk in this country I'm just amazed
All because a man comes from your tribe you support everything he does even if he's clearly wrong.

They said 26B passed through binance without trace who has that kind of money if not politicians
It's sad we support those who oppress us just because they come from our tribes.

Binance is not the problem it's our structure of leadership and governance
Soon they will start blaming Fintech companies like grey and geegpay all because they don't want to blame their own policies yet we keep supporting them.

The truth is with the kind of debt we owe as a nation and the fact that we are a consuming nation it will be almost impossible for the naira to improve.
A time will come when it will be obvious binance has nothing to do with the naira and they will say it's something else and the unwise tribalistic people in our midst will still support them.
Wake up Nigerians politicians don't care about you even if you're from the same tribe...

Tribalism is what they preach to distract us from coming together and becoming a formidable force.
How come all the tribes are represented in government and they get along so well they even have dinner and smile even if they are from different tribes.
But they keep preaching tribalism to you to win you to their side.
Wake up Nigerians....

Lol unfortunately you are talking to log woodsgrin

You cann9t grab power by force and think that the goodwill of the people will follow you. I have not seen any country that power was gtabbed by force by one set of people and the country does well or the people in power enjoy the good will of the people

The Next are IMPORTERSgrin

They will ban the importation of all goods into the country.

There is a way out to trade naira on binance. The solution is to choose another fiat e.g usd agree on a particular exchange rate, send the naira equivalent to the person and the crypto will be released.

you should be receiving your dollars through bank so it adds to your country's FX. You don't add anything to the society but take from it when you eat things that were imported with the dollars that was gotten from export of things your fellow men laboured for. So yes, it's not legit because you're shortchanging and bypassing the financial system

I add value to the society through the articles I publish, I mean I won't even get paid if I don't bring any value to the blogging platform and the people who read my articles. Speaking of receiving dollars through bank, am I supposed to sell the cryptocurrency to the bank? I get paid in cryptocurrency which I can only convert to USDT and exchange to naira. Do Nigerian banks accept cryptocurrency? So I should stop writing for the platform because I'm not receiving dollars through Nigerian banks, whose fault is that?

Lol Dangote refinery has total capacity greater than all 3 national /government refineries combined.
But sorry to burst your bubble.
Fuel will still not sell cheaper for less than 600naira per litre like pre may 2023 times when Tinubu assumed office .
Even Dangote projected to produce enough to meet local demand Nd still have excess surplus refined crude products to export fully, Dangote Must buy crude from federal government/Nnpc AT INTERNATIONAL PRICES per dollar per barrel. Crude won't still be cheaper. Dangote will still need to import crude oil 🛢️ from USA to meet capacity quota & keep up.

And at this fuel rate, effective since may 2023 or so when Tinubu came & announced subsidy over and fuel jumped to over 600 overnight , we all saw how transport increased, cost of running business increased, cost of fuel generator to power business increase with attendant inflation nd increase in prices of goods and services nationwide. Its not expected to come down anytime soon.

Nigeria cannot successfully switch to producing country if the insecurity issue and erratic power supply issue is not redressed fully.

Abroad , more than 10years they don't take light.
If light is even constant, cost of buying fuel to run generators to power businesses will go down a bit and more people will be encouraged to go into production .
Nigeria is not ready to have that discussion yet.

🛑 Nigeria cannot successfully switch to a fully producing nation if insecurity is not 🚫 redressed .

Hope the lamba king is learning how to be a purposeful leader. It is not by shouting "if you add the number of cows in China and divide it by the number of goats in Japan, then you will have consumption to production"

Even as a husband and a father, you get to make very difficult decisions that people in the home may not understand or agree with at that time but when the rewards show up, they may even be the ones that enjoy the rewards the most.

That is leadership. You identify the threats and start dealing with them. You can accuse the CBN of trial and error or whatever but what you cannot accuse them of is sitting back and letting things deteriorate.

However, those with financial knowledge agree that CBN is taking a series of decisions that compliment each other, it iis only when you look at them in isolation that it looks like it they do not know what they are doing.

CBN says 26B passed through Binance in the last one year and somehow did not enter the banking system, the CBN cannot seat back and accept defeat. I am proud of them

You are talking trash.

Who banned crypto in Nigeria? If those knuckleheads who think they are smart did not touch crypto, and allowed Nigeria banks to receive usdt will the economy not have benefited from crypto?

Transfer it to kucoin and trade for naira, but there's actually no need to panic.

You can also use it and fund an online dollar prepaid card and then convert to naira at 1600/$

The other day, it was the farmer whose farm shares a fence with federal government college Abuja , who was kkidnapped.
If their cattle are not wreaking havoc, fulninherdsmen and kidnappers are terrorising and making farms unsafe for farmers. Over 350 farmers kidnapped or killed so far and counting. ....
Nothing is working in Nigeria. Farmers cannot farm in peace, from Osun, Ogun west to north to east to south.

This is how to be producing nation.

And what value is Nigeria Government adding to the citizens for us to "add value" to an Established mockery of a good standard of living Delibrately created by the Private Families group which in other words is called "government"?

Fiat. Then you withdraw to your Nigeria account.
But the rate will be lower.
Just send to another exchanger like bybit or kucoin and sell with p2p
