To be honest Nigerians overstep their bounda. You touch a police officer in the slightest any where in the world and you are getting done for assault of a person in uniform straight away no questions.

Fair point about people keeping their hands off police and soldiers in countries where the system works. But Its a 2 way street: in those places you don't touch a police officer or a soldier in uniform and the police or soldiers too do not cross their boundaries. In fact the rule in those places is that people don't touch anyone except they have a very good reason (i.e. self defence) to do so.

Our problem here is that the whole system has broken down and lawlessness and impunity has taken over completely. Soldiers shoot and kill innocent people at will - because they know there will be no consequences - and civilians harass and rough handle soldiers and police in uniform.

We have to start afresh.

I remembered vividly how i saved some Christians from some bad eggs/thugs during 2011 post election violence.

Bros I've dealt with police in many different countries and to be fair they are all corrupt.

The Nigerian police are just frustrated and corrupt. Police frequently beat people up once arrested. They'll keep you in a cold cell, no even try metropolitan police for London, those guys are a bunch of sadists, rapists and at least two of them been sentenced for serious manslaughter crimes in recent years
