Nazgul: At least Tinubu's supporters would see something to celebrate about. They would tell you that Netflix in Nigeria is one of the cheapest in the world even though none of them can actually afford to have it installed and subscribed on any of their devices. Last time I checked, the biggest number of subscribers in the country for the same NETFLIX service is LAGOS; Tinubu's supporters main domain. Or is Netflix too marginalizing the self acclaiming region๏ผ |

Nigeria offers the privilege of market population just like Pakistan. Also, the exchange rate and affordability matters to the market. Most Nigerians will prioritize food over Netflix. Best bet, the stream online or download the movies |

Netflix when you can go to youtube and watch Nigerian movies. Call them craps( I used to) but it is source of employment to teaming population of Nigeria and youtube has given them avenue to make money in dollars. These actors earn more than actors who depend on Netflix. I did my research. And that is why I stream them always.
Shame no gree the Netflix dependants to go join the youtube gang. These guys are balling. |

We could hav Recived couple of foreigner coming in to retire in our country... but the government are selfish set of people.. And by the time you have those things Nigeria will become so expensive to live In. People all over the world pay for what they enjoy. People donโt understand what proper civilization and great economy come with. In the past when Garri was sold at 2k per rubber, they used leg to travel from Ilesa to Lagos. Some rich folks use horses. Cars didnโt have air confrontational. No smart homes no mobile phones but Land phones that are in th rich menโs homes. Maybe 2 to 5 people in a whole community. Thereโs no color TVs but today we use smart TVs. Yet people still want the price of goods and services remain the same. World must rotate so also the living standards my move with. The convenience you enjoy today comes with a cost! |

It's even cheaper in Argentina & Turkey where they earn more than Nigeria. I reckon there are several factors that affect the prices including demand, taxes and purchasing power and currency rates to the US dollar....
That's not cheap at all considering the fact that the minimum (monthly) wage in Nigeria is just $20. There are high inflation and heavy currency devaluations in both Argentina and Turkey in recent months same with Nigeria. That could be one of their yardstick of fixing the rate. |

Other wealthy countries like Denmark, Ireland, and the U.S. were in the top five most expensive countries for Netflix subscriptions, ranging from $16.46 to $15.49.
On the opposite side of the pendulum, Pakistan had the lowest Netflix subscription cost at $2.82 per month. It was followed by Tรผrkiye at $3.38 and Argentina at $3.57.
Several factors influence the flux in pricing of Netflix subscriptions across different nations. These include:
Economic Factors: Netflix tailors its prices to align with the purchasing power of consumers in each market. Countries with higher average incomes typically bear higher subscription costs. Market Competition: The presence of strong local streaming services can exert downward pressure on Netflix prices, forcing it to adjust its offerings to remain competitive. Content Licensing: The cost of acquiring content rights varies across regions, influencing the overall pricing structure. Countries with higher licensing fees may experience higher subscription costs. Currency Fluctuations: Currency exchange rates can impact Netflixโs pricing model, leading to occasional adjustments or fluctuations in subscription costs. While affordability remains a primary concern for consumers, Netflixโs pricing strategy also aims to balance accessibility with content acquisition and profitability.
As the streaming industry continues to evolve, it will be interesting to observe how Netflix adapts its pricing model to maintain its global dominance while catering to the diverse needs and preferences of its audience.
