Oga, there is nothing shameful here, seems you may not understand how the justice system works.
Bob pleaded guilty seeing the evidence was overwhelming, he asked for leniency. His case was given judgement instantly, unfortunately without option of fine. If he had pleaded not guilty, the alledged offense is bailable by law, so he would have been granted bail pending his trial.
The current fellow pleaded not guilty and chose to go for trial. He was granted bail, as the offense is bailable. It is left for his legal team to defend the charges against him.
Sir, I don't agree to your defense here, before you admit of not guilty of an offense that means the evidence has not been gathered, and in the case of Cubana chief priest, the evidence is all over the internet for public to see and whether he admit to be guilty or not...

It's not about pleading guilty or not guilty.

Who can prove that Chief Priest is not guilty with all the videos? Chief Priest himself knew he was guilty. He's only buying time for more connections and press more buttons.

Is Obi Cubano not close to Tinubu son?

My take is that all our celebrities are guilty of this offense. Probably they all should match to EFCC office and tender unreserved apologies for currency mutilation. I wouldn't want to see our celebrities in jail o. Entertainment industry will suffer for it.

una be one of our problems.......Law is Law for f's sake....why u think say AMERICA reach whr dem dey today??

Truth be told, our currency should be respected. This madness of throwing money in events should stop. If you want to give money to a celebrant, why not hand it over in an envelope. Efcc should arraign more people so that people will learn.

According to the CBN, spraying is mutilation. Should be an interesting court case to follow.

Can you imagine, spraying mutilation ke, who is the person that draft that rule that spraying is mutilation, when they can always use another English, even the judge or magistrate no understand English

God saved him that he didn't plead guilty, nah after 6month unah go see am..

I wonder what bobrisky lawyers were doing for telling him to plead guilty, it look like his lawyers plan this with the people in authority to punish him...

But honestly, we need to get our definition of mutilation right sha
We are not privy to a lot of things regards Bob. Is he the first person to abuse the naira publicly? No. He probably had an agreement with the government to plead guilty so as to exonerate him from other grievous offences. It's hard seen someone plead guilty to any offence in the court of law. There's more to Bob case.

If the boded is the case, sending him to kirikiri wouldn't have surfaced, the judge or magistrate would have told the EFCC to still keep him in their custody and 6month on kirikiri with the type of person he is is really much..

I think they really wanted to punish him for all his past atrocities, which I think is still bad, he should have been given an option of fine or max given a month in prison
Re: Davido Reacts To Cubana Chief Priest's Arraignment & Bail by Indispensable85(m): 5:38pm On Apr 17
The level of ignorance is high. The case is not done yet. He was only granted bail but the matter is still in court. He might still end up in prison.
Re: Davido Reacts To Cubana Chief Priest's Arraignment & Bail by smalls001: 5:40pm On Apr 17
CLOWNS.....Pleading not guilty and being granted bail means you'll have your day in court for trial. Bail doesn't mean you're off the hook. If found guilty, your sentence would be higher than Bobrisky.

When a person is charged to court. The persons plea is taken. 2 ways he has a right to.
1.Guilty
2. Not guilty.
When he chooses guilty, it means he has accepted guilt and so the judge will forgo trial and then sentence the person. This happend in Bobriskys case.
In the case of him pleading no guilty, it means he will go for trial in which the prosecution puts forward all those evidence you spoke about, eg videos, pictures etc, his defence will defend him. At the end of the trial, the judge then passes sentence, if guilty, he is sentenced, with or without option of fine.
So for now, he was granted bail as it is a bailable offense. His trial will commence. It is the judgement after trial that will determine if he is free or not.
So op, it has not reached that stage.

Selective Justice is Injustice. The person that pleaded guilty and leniency was jailed for 6 months. Meanwhile the person that arrogantly pleaded not guilty with evidences of him being guilty all over the internet was granted bail.

Nigeria my Country.

You still don't get it. It's obvious some powerful person is onto Bobrisky. Shim has stepped on the toes of some vengeful venomous person. His case is not ordinary. It's injustice but deserving. I hope the cup goes round.

There's no big deal about what just happened.

Bobrisky pleaded guilty that was why they gave him 6 months.... ill advice from the lawyer.

You think chief priest paid ten million?

You don't know how the court works.

He is expected to bring a surety who will pay ten million if he jumps bail.

No money is paid.

Usually your surety will ask for 10% of the bail sum.
