What these illiterates intentionally overlook is that the school system in Anambra is run by churches in the missionary school format. They bring their budget and the state governments hands over the money . The majority of schools are founded by missions and churches and is still the same till today

Chronicle NG reports that Omokri, in a statement on his X page on Monday, berated Obi, the Labour Party candidate in the 2023 election, over claims that he spent $50 million on building breweries at the detriment of the educational sector.

The social media influencer also noted that local government chairmen in Lagos State built more schools than Obi.

Tinubu handed over schools to the missionaries (the first governor to do so), Fashola also handed over schools to the missionaries, despite that, the both of them still built public schools in Lagos. Where did Obi divert the funds budgeted for education without building a single school?

Peter Obi revolutionized education in Anambra state and Nigeria. The effects are still blazing till date. Mr knowledge, how did Obi spend millions of yearly funds budgeted for education in Anambra?

I am not a peter obi fan, neither do i like the obidients for their abrasive and tendency to be offendingly and unjustifiably
irascible, but one peculiarity anambra state has is that the state govt doesnt necessarily own any schools. Schools are owned by either the missions or communities. What the govt offers is employment and maintenance as well as equiping of the schools.

Even the sec sch in my hometown owned by the anglican church was recently upraged to a new status by soludo, yet the college fully belongs to the anglican church.

The ANSG doesnt create schs per se, so attacking Peter obi on this one, i think is misplaced.
