For some days now I have been having an issue with Aliexpress. This last weekend I tried to purchase an item but to my suprise I was unable to pay for it. I tried making payment with my UBA Africard but it was giving me this error : Sorry, your
payment was not successful! No money has been deducted. Reason:
Secure check failed.
What baffles me is that i have used this card to buy on Aliexpress about 2 weeks ago. If anyone has a solution please kindly share. I would also like to know any other alternative cards that can be used on Aliexpress

Please don't confuse peeps here. The africard is a UBA visa prepaid card. It is a VISA CARD oooooo

True that. I use my Access Visa card for all online transactions including Aliexpress, minimal charges.

Yes I encountered similiar problem, when I read the FAQ I found that there wasn't enough money to finalise the transaction. So the thing is, you may have enough money for the product
but not enough for the bank charges so I suggest you top the card up then try it again.. Goodluck

I purchased an item that should have been 23200 but they ended up charging me about 24600.

My my experience, GTB master card (Naira) and the conventional Visa card are still in use. I just used mine now!

@ OP, It is good to always have more than one card for online payment, so if one failed, the other might work. Try GTB NairaMaster Card i had once used it to pay for a product on aliexpress.

yes u are right that is what they did to me when I bought my watch. if they is any better cheap card I will go for it

That's 2 much bro...simply choose dhl as u moda of shipment..jst 4 or dr about u wll gt ur stuff...even if it is costly,simply chat wit d seller and negotiate for price reduction....they normally reduce d price after bargaining den you can nw pay for it..

I had the same problem on aliexpress and i thought it was because i was using my brodas gt matercard to make the payment and so maybe there was conflict in the names. but this thread has anwered that at least partly. do you guys also think that using my brodas card to make payment can be an issue. before i forget my moni was held and they said the bank will credit me bwt 7 - 10 days. any body with answers?

I topped up my account today and tried again. It was error as usual. Maybe i would get a GTB Card.
