Dexterax: In a bid to maintain my intellectual humility and if it means anything to some folks here, please note that Dexter has liquidated 100% of his oxygen holdings, for a 59% profit.

The liquidation exercise was carried out in late afternoon trading yesterday.

Again, you have succeeded in dribbling them as was succintly put by UkwuAmu here:

UkwuAmu: Sir Dex we go begin use dictionary to understand your coding and you got a patner in crime in Omaojo. They will confuse you with their good command of the language that they can tell you to go eat shit and you will gladly and smilingly obey because the apt way they will put it.

passwelle: Pls can someone confirm the closing price of Access today

hbrednic: N9.80, who is their marketmaker ? good job

passwelle: Erm there is a Merrifield at Dunn Loring Station in Fairfax County, VA wink

feelamong: these guys are really doing a great job here! wink

who is the market maker for Cadbury? they have to go and learn well o!grin

Yes, the market makers can actually close it at levels pre-agreed but that is not the case with this one. It is one firm that is in VI, that has the name of the street where the full elephant turned half is headquartered, as a name that does the bidding of AIG.

Activities here normally runs with Wapic-'volumewise' but Access is needed to achieve an end at the moment hence the continuous price rigging.

Passwelle, thanks for consistently watching this. FCMB also does something similar albeit, in a less pronounced manner.

Agbalowomeri:

if I am to invest 2m in stock market, I should not expect less than 300k dividend...With my little experience now, I target stocks that can give me over 10% dividend with a measure of high probability. And I try to run away from stocks with ROE of less than 20% because i have learnt that ROE determines the price elasticity of stocks. I also run away from stocks that is demonstrating consistently falling ROE; there is no point running after 10% dividend only for the value of ur holding to be falling. Thirdly, I do not put my money in stocks showing no growth because that is the only way that I can convince myself that it will not pay less dividend that the previous year...

NB: I also do not believe in diversification. Don't try this at home...

@Ogbs...if you pay keen attention, you might pick something from the silence and unspoken words...and even the ones hidden in some nicely and carefully constructed sentences. There is alot of information on sites like this that can help you form your opinion and decide on what stock to go for. I don't personally do recommendations as i'm still learning the ropes...

Oh really, so its them? I recall a while ago the EFCC picked up a former Deputy Gov with a similar sounding name as the street where they are headquartered.
Cowboyism is real!
If you cant beat them, and you are not here just to consistently watch then cautiously join them. I observed the intra day volatility and wasnt sure if they were just crossing off those last minute trades. I tried and successfully JIJO on 3 diff days with a net of c. 5% daily grin. Thus confirming they actually buy off from the market at c. 2.28 pm.
This is not a recommendation to do anything. Don't try this at home...

@Omaojo1 and @Passwelle; In developed markets/economies, it is a life-changing opportunity to be able to identify promising startups before they become a behemoth like Alibaba. Imagine investors who put down the seed capital for Alibaba and the likes. I wish I could adopt this investment strategy.

Aks: AMCON is set to name the winner of Enterprise bank BID next week (hopefully Monday). Is there anybody with useful info as to the likely winner of the BID. The info i have at my disposal is that HERITAGE bank is likely to be annouced but Sterling and Fidelity are also frontrunners to clinch the Bid. This will definitely affect share price and if we have this info ASAP, we can all smile to the bank. pls do your research
Your insider info was spot on.

If Heritage is owned partly by a certain insurance firm, there may be movement in the insurance firms shares going forward.
The above is as forward looking as any forward looking statement. I do not have positions in said insurance firm.

True that. If we search very well, there are opportunities in this our very own land that could produce a continental giant if not a global one like 'BABA'. The strong reason why Yahoo shares has more than doubled in the last two years is because of its stake in 'BABA'. Now imagine what 'BABA' itself will become when listed.

IPO already fully subscribed by the Fidelitys, the Vanguards of the world and the hedge funds. It is not just the largest IPO ever, but also likely to be the mostly out of the reach for most of the retail investors, at least initially.
