Recently i talked about checking JSS 3 results for a particular government school. Well, that has been done and i guess the principal was impressed. So i have been busy preparing admission forms for new intakes, list of books for over 900 students, teachers timesheet (over 500 copies), etc. Government schools in this Local government have an association (like a branch of the main body) and she is the secretary. She promised to link me up to virtually all the other school principals.

The lad working for me is doing a great job BUT he makes alot of errors. The other day i left him in the school i was doing some jobs for to go attend to a client and i instructed him to move our equipments back to the office as soon as he is done. It was the next day he realized that he practically forgot the generator there. I just couldn't get angry but laughed. And most of his errors are costing me money like another day when he was trying to "impress" me by doing God-knows-what on the gen and that cost me over 4k to fix. I hope he learns to stop making errors, otherwise he works hard.

Now, i promised to unveil my new web project here on this thread. It's not been an easy ride but finally it's ready for use. It's called Office Manager. www.officemanager.com.ng
For a long time i have always been called upon to prepare one form of official document or the other like company profile, HR policy documents, Employee handbook, business plans, official letters, proposals, etc. I have an extensive background on administration and i have been well trained on it (with almost 4 years working experience). Now i decided to prepare complete official document templates and forms. The ones i cant do i outsourced to other professionals. Now these are not just blank templates but they are complete documents such that when you download all you have to do is input your company name and logo where necessary. The long and lengthy details have been taken care of.

There are practically hundreds of these documents, templates and forms. They are grouped into different categories or bundles which means you can not download just one document but the whole bundle. Now instead of paying a consultant to prepare a particular document be it HR or safety policy, admin docs, businessplans, etc and pay over 50k or more (cos thats how i charge ), you can just go to the office manager website and download a bundle (which will contain the exact document you need and many others) for just 2k or 3k (depends). The advantage of this solution is to help you save cost, hep you get the kind of document you need, and even help you make money cos you can charge someone like 25k to prepare an agreement document then come here to download it for less than 4k and submit to the client.

- someone might walk in urgently wanting to print something from his email
- school children might come in wanting to check and print their results
- someone might walk in wanting an urgent passport.

Before you know it, you don get 1 or 2k for pocket.....all this one na if you nor get project for hand oh. So off i go...

I have answered him via email. But for the benefit of others here, i learn't it in about six to seven months on my own with the help of Google. People always ask me questions like this and that is why i decided to put together a handy step-by-step manual on learning how to design websites. The manual has been available for a few months now and it's really a complete personalized tutor with pictorial descriptions. Lets say it's a compendium of all i know on website design and marketing for the past 3 years. If you are interested in learning how to design websites and start making some money from it, you can order for it. It's N2,500 and i know it's better than paying someone 25k to teach you.

I intend to use every means available to do the marketing. It's going to grow gradually.

Does anyone know how to brand VCD packs? I want to produce a CD version of Office Manager with all the documents and templates inbuilt. But i want it nicely packaged. Any ideas?

What i need is the CD with a black plastic pack where i can just insert the label.....you know, like the types used in packaging movies. Please if you have any ideas on how to get them or the price, it will be of utmost help. I dont think they are sold here (except Lagos). I have also designed the CD Label (its attached below). Please preview and tell me what you think. The label has a front and back design.

Have you thought about people who might want to pirate your CD? I think its best you leave it as an online business. With proper marketing, I'm sure it will go places.

The web aspect remains and will receive undivided attention. As for the CD aspect i am aware of pirates but am not gonna do a wide spread sales on it. In my immediate environment, there are some peeps and bosses who will pay for the CD and just store it in their office. This set of Ogas are not really fans of online stuff (apart from read and sending emails). On the other hand, when am ready to do nationwide launch i should be able to convert it into desktop software with some good anti-piracy programs on it. So by then it's going to look somewhat like microsoft encarta but a little more sophisticated.
