I have read
The Bible
Harry potter
Twilight
Lord of the rings
The alchemyst
-The Bible is an explanatory and interesting guidline in life
-Harry potter is still my most 2nd interesting book I have ever read. When Harry potter finished it kind of left a hole in my heart. It was really really a great companion. So because oda people loved the book so well as well, JK rowling created Pottermore.com †̥Φ show stuff that happened after the seventh book
1. Dumbledore was actually gay
2. Nevilla Longbottom married Hannah Abbot. Dat girl dat fainted when she wanted †̥Φ take her O.W.Ls
I can't really remember all but there were many stuff she wrote about the aftermath of the second book
-Twilight is my 3rd interesting book but the book D̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥γ̲̣̣̥ always fall my hand with the crazy love love btw "Headward" and Bella. How person go love someone reach that one †̥Φ go and drown yourself J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊ƨ̣̣̣̇̇̇̇τ̣̣̥ †̥Φ see his face (Twilight new moon 2nd book) undecided. Anyways it was also a real interesting book.
-Lord of the rings: I read the first book up †̥Φ like half then closed the book. It contained too much old English. And besides, the descriptions were waaaaaaay too much. If Frodo entered a room, they would totally describe everything in that room from the ceiling †̥Φ the ant walking on the floor. So I closed it and watched the movie instead
- the Alchemyst a pretty interesting book too. I heard it also has a movie. I love the alchemyst because although it was a magical book, it had its limitations †̥Φ magic. Not like other books and movies that make it seem when Ɣơ̴͡u̶̲̥̅̊ have magic Ɣơ̴͡u̶̲̥̅̊ can do anything. If there was truly magic in the world, then it would be the way the author described it. 6 books in all.
However my best book still remains The Shining Ones by A nigerian whose name I have forgotten. It was like a biography of his life throughout secondary skool in 1942-1948
Besides, one thing I wanna add, if Ɣơ̴͡u̶̲̥̅̊ haven't read Harry potter but Ɣơ̴͡u̶̲̥̅̊ have watched the movie, trust me, Ɣơ̴͡u̶̲̥̅̊ are still missing

It is an obvious bias. The Qur'an rarely comes without the original Arabic text, the reason for this we all know.

This is invalid, whether in Chinese or Constapatese, the Qur'an is the Qur'an. More so, are you implying you dont know the Bible was only translated to English? And that the various other versions in other languages make the quoted count?

It is mallice, it takes nothing away from the Islam.
Do you mind sharing this reason?

So you don't miss it again, see the bolded.

The Qur'an is translated and transliterated into so many languages, I thought we cleared that? It just almost never comes without its original Arabic version/meaning --for obvious reasons.

Funny, you don't have any issue conversing with me in English which is not both of our mother tongue. I can't even begin to imagine the effort you must have put in to achieve your level of English proficiency, lol.

Anyway, the prophet was not learned (he couldn't read nor write) and Arabic was his language, so he had to be taught in Arabic. On a lighter note, I hope you won't ask me why the prophet (Peace Be Upon him) had to be Arab.

Yes, clerics in Nigeria use cane, teachers in Nigerian schools use cane...Nuff said.[b]

I see your notice of modification. Here:

I don't know where you came about the part you wrote about most Muslims in Nigeria being Yoruba, but I doubt that.

[b]Regardless, Arabic is the language of the prophet (PBUH), of the Qu'ran and of Islam. Hence, we all pray in unison, from Abuja to Abu Dhabi to Athens.
So what then is the point of the translations/transliterations Isn't one translation supposed to be a substitute to the other, according to one's understood language?

Would you rather converse with her in Arabic, when you know quite well she doesn't understand it? English might not be your mother tongue, but its our lingua franca, majority of pple understand it at least in one form or the other, so it is an appropriate means of communication. isn't it?

Funny how you equate academic institution with 'religious institution' lol. Why do clerics use cain, and why do teachers use cain? btw, not all schools use cain. U don't flog a child to learn a language all in the name of religion. Why not instruct the child in the language he understands?

I don't have time but I must ask : If arabic is the language of 'the prophet', and because he wrote the quran, it is the language, is arabic also the language of 'allah' ? So why must you recite prayers in arabic?
Re: Top 10 Most Read Books In The World by rman: 10:59am On Oct 06, 2014
I am tempted to assume majority of Nigerian Christians are so ignorant about Islam.

Translated quran is everywhere. You can get one at CMS bustop in Lagos if you want it today.

Yes, it should be second to the bible on that list without a doubt. Common. let us all reason logically here.

Pass

Pass

You may not be as smart as you think. I perceive you as a time waster who just wants to ask rather silly questions --silly because if not for undiluted ignorance, these things are apparent. I take it all back and ask for your forgiveness if you're not as I feel.

On corporal punishment and Islamic schools, it is a no-brainer. Nigerians believe in it. Arab, American children and others don't get caned at any school, Islamic or otherwise.

Another no-brainer, Same way Odu-ifa, opele etc is recited in Yoruba. Arabic is the lingua franca of Islam.

Well this is your own opinion and you are entitle to it, but the fact Is, the quran is the most read book in the world, every time you observe your solaat, you read @ least two verses In the quran, so multiple that by the number of the Muslims observing solaat 5 times a day ( I guess your calculator is showing error) Muslims don't brag about fallacy we state the obvious
