it works with almost all android phones. It is Glo BIS for bb but we found a way to make it work on android devices and you can also use them on PC/lappy via Hotspot/wifi.

Trust me this Airtel is really a joke. yesterday I was eligible for both the N2000 for 4gb and N3500 for 9gb and I was hoping to subscribe today because I had about 100mb remaining from my subscription as at yesterday. I woke up this morning and dialled the codes and to my greatest surprise I was told I'm not eligible for the 9gb then I checked the code for the 4gb and I was told I don't have sufficient balance then I called 111 to inquire why I was no longer eligible for the 9gb offer and after the call was dropped (I can't say if it was intentional or due to network failure) I rechecked the code for the 4gb and I was told I'm no longer eligible so right now I'm not eligible for both plans. I can't seem to understand airtel.
why can't they allow every interested customer to subscribe without this eligibility rubbish, it's our money that we're begging them to take and they're busy doing shakara.

Bro... It's not about the imei. They used Android because it's very popular and it doesn't mean it's exclusively by imei but by the data consumption. I know what I am saying... Afterall Airtel has this Android plan before now, which also works on iPhones.

So, it's nothing to do with imei.

I don't think so. Mind you, Blackberry has dedicated servers unlike the others. So, it's easy to reduce their bandwidth because it goes through their servers which compresses it and thereby making it consume less bandwidth in actuality.

You see now that it's not easy to do same with other devices like Android and iOS because they ain't got dedicated servers like BB.

Why do you think BB10 devices don't work with BIS? Because they don't connect through BB servers and there is no data compression in such devices. That is why they work and consume data same way as Android and iOS.
