I have been wondering why some outrageous thread make FrontPage these days... last 2weeks out of 100percent of thread that was on FrontPage,95percent were outrageous,meaningless,there was nothing to be gained from those threads... last week, out of 100percent of thread,98percent were out of colour,there was nothing you could gained from those meaningless thread... these results has shown us that nairaland moderators are not doing their work to nairelanders standard,because I could see that many nairalanders are complaining about the thread that make FrontPage these days... Nairalanders let us protest against useless and outrageous thread,that make FrontPage these days. I don't know who weedzkid is,I don't even want to know him..and some other celebrities life styles. they did not and they haven't affect Nairalanders and Nigerians lives positively..so why should we capitalize on their everyday activities by putting their useless thread on FrontPage... I'm a celebrity on my own coz weedzkid and other celebrities haven't seen me once 'inshot' they cannot see me coz I don't have time for them.. do they have time for those that capitalize on their life styles,do they even know them? answer: NO they didn't so why should we be reading about their lives styles on Nairaland FrontPage everyday when they did not even know maybe we exist.. there are good topics, there are topics that can add value to human lives in every sections..those are the kind of topics we pray to see on FrontPage,not weedzkids and other 'yeye'celebrities... SAY NO TO USELESS AND OUTRAGEOUS THREAD ON NAIRALAND FRONTPAGE TODAY... there goes another shallow brain. have you ever wondered why nairaland has many sections? thousands of guests and members visit nairaland daily and you think all of them are interested in the same things? there has to be something for everybody. you are not forced to stay on nairaland. if the ''irresponsible'' topics on frontpage pisses you then create a sensible topic so it can be on frontpage too. someone creates the informative topics you want on frontpage you know 1 Like |

nice on, op. I wish Seun, the supermods and mods realise this trend before nairaland turn something else. Itz been happening for a long time now and some of us who sometime make good research to sort for interesting topics to create nolonger do so because it wont make front page no matter the dept of your input. I create thread these days just for documentation. My advice to Seun and his league of mods; if nairaland is so valuable to you, make sure useless and meaningless threads are no where near the fp. The problem here is the lack of quality or sensible moderators...... Dumbfu..cks now litter the moderating caucus hence the launching of nonsense onto the front page. Seun needs to have a word and if he is involved, he needs to know that what is on the front page of his forum should be carefully and wisely selected so as not to devalue the worth and importance of this forum! |

Seun:edutainment (I.e educating and entertaining) will do, e.g general facts, trends in the economy, entertainment gist should be meaningful (e.g tonto dike divorces husband, and not; funke wears gown today, davido eats garri and groundnut, etc) sports and forum games are quite interesting also. |

Well Op you are right and it does nothing to nairalanders other than amuse them, no value added. A lot of people are at work and instead of them to face their work,they are glued to nairaland creating silly threads and typing comments on useless thread. I think seun you need to have a mod who all he does is reviews topics meant for frontpage and see if its good enough to go on frontpage. |
