Yes, we do. Nigerian Fulbe are just a conglomerate of various groups from further west, who initially mostly came as nomads.
And you know what happened next.... in the end, Some got influenced by other surrounding cultures, some settled, others did not and remained nomads.

Those in FJ are similar. There were already nomads there when Muslim fulbe arrived from MAli and Senegal. They Converted the locals and surrounding areas. But after the French took over, they did everything to destroy Futa starting with the monarchy and kept us out of the army to avoid revolt. At independence the other groups were majority in the military and the French had told them plenty of lies about fulbe taking their land. Up to this day, we are in that mess.
Hell some Guineans suspect we will join the Arab league lol as if we are Arabs.

In regards to what you said Bororojo, traditional Fulbe tradition is Matrilineal, in most Mbororo'en societies that practise true Finatawa today that is not Islamic influenced, women have a right to choose their mates (not through tegal or dewgal) but in Gerewol. I suspect that's how all Fulbe groups were before Islamization which happened around 900/1000 AD for the Fulani.

The truest culture to the real Fulani culture today is that of the Mbororo'en or the nomadic Fulani. Why? That is because it has rejected Islam more so than any other Fulbe sub-group. By not allowing Islam to infiltrate its culture, it has been able to maintain traditional cultural aspects of the culture.

Lol it depends if she is married or not.

Bororojo, I foud this today , the wollarbe are Bari or Barry as it is written and the Yilalbe are Diallo. Indeed they are the two largest even in Guinea. All of the Almamys were wollarbe though the largest province, Labe was ruled by Yilalbe.
