This is one trait that Buhari and his supporters have in common. Why do you find it easy to accuse those who do not share your political opinion as being blinded by hatred and envy? You do not like GEJ, his supporters are civil enough to consider it your right. Why are you stuck in 1983 like your master? What most of you don't seem to understand is that in a democracy, which most of you in APC know nothing about, a PhD holder in political philosophy has the same number of vote as the unschooled market woman in remote Nembe.

Here you are making efforts to prove that Tinubu is not corrupt while at the same time accusing the FG of corruption. Can't you see the problem in your position? You have no right to label anybody for holding a contrary political opinion in a democracy. The best you can do is to persuade them and not malign them. You really can't say because your priorities and mine are different and moreover I am tired of the status quo and some of what he said made sense to me and I was also impressed by his choice of words when answering the questions. I doubt the incumbent can stand a similar type of questioning.

No intelligent politician will reveal his plans to tackle corruption on national TV. It is ludicrous to even ask it. The Chief of Army Staff refused to discuss plans to tackle boko haram with journalists present. To tackle corruption you are going against Senate, reps, all ministries, parastatals, the military. All he needed to do was make this statement t and Keep cards close to his chest.

Buhari's only idea is fighting corruption

But he fails to tell Nigerians how

Arresting a few governors like OBJ did will only scratch the surface

In order to fight corruption and reduce waste to the level to save enough money to transform Nigeria then you are looking at the following

1. Possible nationalisation or renegotiation of oil well ownership agreement

2. Streamlining the levels of Government and reviewing whether we need state level government or whether replacing those with regional government

3. Reviewing the extortionate wages of legislators

4. Reviewing government contract and business sourcing and awarding procedure.

These are the root sources of waste in this country. Arresting one or two percieved enemies like OBJ did will not solve much. Just as Buhari's high handedness in the 80s did not eradicate corruption.

Those promising to fight corruption need to tell us what they will do differently!

Jonathan has said he is getting rid of ghost workers from civil service. That's commendable and a smart way of reducing waste but Jonathan has to do more.

Buhari on his part has to tell us more than saying he will fight corruption.

He has to say how and the so voters be informed!

Although not very impressed with the interview but i think it would be suicidal if he openly discuss how he is going to tackle corruption. That kind of approach denied some good leaders the chance to win elections in the past. Examples are obafemi awolowo and aminu kano. Sometimes it is good not to discuss such details in the media.
