Of course you can tell. Achondroplasia is not a difficult diagnosis to make clinically. The report is wrong on mode of inheritance which is Autosomal Dominant and not Autosomal recessive as reported. In this particular case however, it seems to be the result of a mutant gene most likely FGFR3 mutation as both parents are , apparently , of normal stature and there is no history of dwarfism in the family.

Are albinos not babies? What an insensitive thing to say.

There are several types of dwarfisim....and achondroplasia is just one of them....as is hypopitutiary secretion

No.....if it is achondroplasia....either she and her husband have the gene....or there was a sporadic mutation.

It could be also one of the many other forms of dwarfisim....so a full genetic workup might be needed.
