Here are some suggestions for those who my not be able to think of what to write about. Pick one or as many as you like for your free verse poem(s).

1) Write a poem about something that happened to someone you know. Write about it as if it had happened to you.

2) Write a poem about your shadow. (Some ideas for brainstorming: How does it change when you move? What does it look like in different kinds of light, in different situations? What would happen if you lost it? Does it have a secret life?)

3) Write a poem based on a dream you had. Try to reproduce the sensations of the dream.

4) Write a poem in the form of a message or letter to your future self.

5) Write a poem about a place that frightens you or a place where you feel happy. Try to recreate the feeling of the place.

Example of an Acrostic poem

DREAMS

Deep, and at the same time shallow,
Real-like, and also an illusion.
Expanding as imaginations grow,
At times, it might result into a vision.
Meaningful or meaningless as the case maybe,
Slipping through the dark till the eyes will see.
Apparently, an acrostic poem contains just one stanza, yeah?

Not necessarily.
It depend on how long or short ur acronym is.
I get but since the acronym is usually a word, then the length of the poem will be equal to the number of letters in the acronym. I'm tryinna confirm if it can have more than 1 verse, say if I'm looking at a phrase as the title.

Example of a Ballad

As I was walking down the street
I saw two people in secret meet
The second one said to the first
'You have some news to quench my thirst?'
'In behind the old, damp shed
There lies a noble man slain, dead
And no one knows he lies in strife
Except his dog and lonely wife
With master gone where no one knocks
His dog has left to chase a fox
His wife has found somebody new
His house is left for all to view
Though it's been empty for a while
We'll be warm and dry in half a mile
For now we can take comfort there
We'll flee the place when it grows bare
Many people knew the noble man
But none do care where he has gone
Over his grave, all do ignore
The wind shall blow forever more.'

Did u really scribble this?,(Claps)... nice one

The RENGA is written by two poets. Its a collabo. The first poet writes a HAIKU has the 1st stanza while the second poet writes a couplet. A Couplet is two line of the same length that rhyme and complete one thought. After the couplet, the first poet write a HAIKU again and they both continue simultaneously until the end of the poem. Hope this helps.
