Most people become atheist because these line of thinking still doesn't make sense to them. Not even when they pretend to understand or belong.
And they ask questions, and get replies that still doesn't make sense. God, Hell, Luccifer, Adam and Eve, Heaven...
What if they do made sense somehow? Why doesn't the story in the Vedas, or Buddha make equal sense? At least they are older stories.

mind you son the op is naming those characters himself, in the real context there are no such words.
all you can be, see or hear is:
AN ATHEIST: you are a pure atheist and have no business with religion.
AN AGNOSTIC: you are not certain where you are.
A THEIST: you are a religious person.
anything outside or emerging from these if falacy .
you cannot be an atheist and still wallow in religion.
join the agnostic train.

I'm (2)-Atheist at heart & (4)-seeker combined....I'm so proud to be an atheist...I'm gonna teach my kids morality in place of religion and also teach them to be a God of their own and watch other people idolize them. Atheist inside,powered by logic and reasoning,Atheist till the casket drop!!!

They can turn virtually every scripture in the bible in their defense.

Number 6 aptly describes most Nigerian Atheists. After years of indoctrination & professing Christianity or Islam, they suddenly discover at some in their adult lives they simply can't reconcile their sense of reasoning with their faith. They're left with no option than to take the only logical path but at the same time do not want to rock the boat taking into consideration how notoriously religious Nigerians can be. They have no qualms lynching you if you dare as much as say you're not a religious man let alone say 'there is no god'. You're a dead man walking.

I'm definitely 2 and 4. When I was younger, I used to think something was wrong with me because of my detachment from all the religious activities going on around me. I just knew in my heart of hearts that I don't buy all the crap and rituals, but I had to conform to the norm.

Right now though, when I look back or look @ the religious but godless people who populate my surroundings, I just laugh.

I would have been an Atheist but . . . .

It's just that I believe in one God and I believe in Jesus Christ the messiah and that he came to earth and took on human form as an atonement for the sins of mankind when he died on the cross of Calvary that all men can be saved and be reunited with him and enjoy fellowship the way it was intended from the very start.

Good question and observation.
But I av one question for you.
Do you know the God that created the order?
Is it olodumare, jeus' father or thor's dad, chineke, yahweh, or the vague 'oneness' claimed by hindu doctrine. There are lots of them.

Or u jst decide to leave ur argument at the level of an imaginary source of "ORDER"?
If this is the case u ar not religious but theist. And also a 'seeker' according to the op.
Can u tell wat ur purpose is?

NUMBER 2.I stopped believing in the religious mumbo jumbo at around 6 years of age,when I realised that all those movies of Jesus were just make believe,I was like what the mess? this sh.it is for kids..
