The Nigerian Army today 12th january 2015 dimissed over 300 soldiers. They are soldiers from various army formations nation wide battling the bokoharam insurgence since december 2012 in Adamawa, borno and yobe state. They were initially moved to 3 armoured brigade jos where they were kept for weeks then sent to their various units (barracks) and individually dismissed to avoid the media. The signal was sent to their various units today from Army HQ but no reason was stated for their dismissal as no order nor court marshal was held. Their belonging, wives and children were thrown out of the baracks amids tears. Some of them have not being payed for close to four months now as their family scrounge to feed. A Lt col ( name withheld... U know why) who read the charge to 3 soldiers affected in his unit, told them is simply not their fault and give them #50,000 each to assist move their belongings, wives and kids out of the barracks. More details coming soon.

It is true guy. My parents are in rukuba barracks, jos. those being dismissed are deserters and those found wanting in some areas pertaining to BH. everyone in the barracks are under high tension now because it is a veeery serious exercise.

I have come to learn from this forum that 80% of Nigerians swim in the ocean of ignorance. They simply allow intellectually handicap politicians guide their thoughts. Shameful indeed! Now some folks call these soldiers cowards. Funny. 60% of these soldiers were in Sudan,Liberia, Sierralone and Mali. They have tested at least two battles. But today they politicians choose to use them as pawns on the chess board. Imagine what will happen if this well trained and experienced soldiers decide to sustain their families by joining boko haram.
