roschinkelley:
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) is an industry certification for people working in the human resource management profession.
To be eligible to sit for the PHR exam, an individual must be able to document two years of exempt-level human resource management experience. Although two years of exempt-level HR experience is required to sit for the exam, the ideal candidate for this certification is an individual who:

Focuses on program implementation.
Has tactical/logistical orientation.
Has accountability to another HR professional within the organization.

how do I defer for admission for intermediate 2 exams for February to August?
Re: Human Resource Professionals: by ideee03(f): 9:28am On Jan 14, 2015
Hello All,

I'm interested in starting a career in HR. I have no work experience in this field neither do i have an eductional background in HR or social sciences. I'v been searching for universities in Nigeria that offer HRMs in masters but my search has not been productive.

I need advice on what steps to take, certification wise and career wise. If there's also job openings on HR anywere kindly share with me.

I'm currently a business analyst for a private org. My role is ensuring quality experience across all our various touch points.

Please help a sister...i'm currently unfulfilled career and education wise.

Thanks.

I dont think its possible, I went there and I was told that only the registrar has the power to defer any student (even if you are dying or on sick bed), and If you do not show up for the exam, your exam fee is forfeited (24000) and you have to pay another fee for another diet. My advice, read and prepare for the exam ASAP

OAU Offers Master of Industrial and Labour Relations. It also offers MBA with HR option too. Estimated period of the the is 18 months.
UI also offers them too. As someone with no background in Social Sciences, you might get admission into any of these courses.

University of Lagos offers them too in addition to MSc in Human Resource and Personnel Management. Admission into the MSc programme

hello Yemmight,
well done on all your good work. you were spot on about the level i will have to start at; am about to start Intermidiate II (CIPM)as you said.
I wanted to know if ,apart from the books and study packs, there are any websites tht offer good information on human resources, especially as pertains to Nigeria as i wont have the time (am working)to attend lectures and plan to study on my own. Again many thanks

Hello friends, i have been offered admission into intermediate II with CIPM and have not got materials yet. I have been told to wait for the last diet (February, 2015) result to be published before i can pay online for my study pack. Please if anyone lives in Abuja (kubwa) that has passed the level and can help me with his/her materials to photocopy so i can use this time to study while awaiting the portal to open for registration, i will be grateful. If you are willing to help please call Glory. My email is lorielorie6@gmail.com

Thank you
